We don't often get Japanese games on GOG
But when we do, it's usually good ones and Shinovi Vs. is not exception. I had this game on Vita back in the days, I bought it on Steam and now I've dipped into the anime ninja bosoms for a 3rd time. If you like 3D Beat 'em ups, Anime and Fanservice, this purchase is a no-brainer. Xseed, tell you superiors and Marvelous that we want and will buy all of them here on GOG, I personally don't mind re-buying them all even if I got all the Steam releases.

Surprisingly fun!
Yes this is a "dweeb" franchise, has many waifus of various cleavage sizes and there're a TON of outfits and poses to see... but y'see, the gameplay is actually quite decent. Yes, the gameplay is good... It's a hack n' slasher, button masher and beat 'em up combined into one; creamed together through the different characters and their styles. The game feels good to play with, satisfying sound effects, great replay value and a cutesy art style. Eventually the combat does get repetitive, but if you play in short bursts, you'll get the most out of it. There's more than just fiddling with swords though, there're lots of unlockables that come in the form of costumes, art, characters, stages, you name it. If I could change/add one thing it would be English dub voices for all the characters because the animes are dubbed in English, so some consistency would be nice. A good pickup if you want a little fun, mind off and relaxation time.

An Old Senran Kagura Goodie
I've been playing the Senran Kagura games for a few years now and this was the first game that I ever played in the series. This is a classic example of the "came for the b**bs and stayed for the gameplay" scenario. I did indeed stay for the gameplay, because it's good old hack & slash action (similar to Dynasty Warriors) where you can perform combos that chain and add special techniques for super damage. You can choose between four different shinobi schools and play as all of the five characters of each respective schools. There are some other additional characters to play as too as you unlock all the different stages of the missions. There are different modes to explore and a lot of goodies to unlock. My favourite characters to play as are Asuka, Homura, Hikage, Katsuragi and Imu. I feel like they cater to my close combat play style preference, but they're all different and unique too. If you like anime graphics and visual novel elements and catchy music, then you might like this. It might contain a lot of jiggly ecchi stuff, but if you've played for example "Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed" then this will provide similar humour and fun.
