Unravel one of the greatest mysteries of our time!

On the 30th June 1908 an explosion with the combined energy of 2000 Hiroshima bombs rocked the region of Tunguska in Central Siberia and felled over 6,000 square km of trees. The explosion could be heard from as far as 1,000km away. Eye witnesses saw a long object fall from the sky which was illuminated in a blue-white light. A 20km high column of light was followed by a black-mushroom shaped cloud. It has been reported that for the next three nights it was so bright across all of Europe that you could read a newspaper outdoors.

To date it still remains a mystery as to what happened that day, and now YOU will find yourself immersed in a race against time to uncover a global conspiracy that will carry you to the far reaches of the world. Prepare to have your detective skills challenged like never before in the dark world of cover-ups and corruption.

  • 80 highly detailed and atmospheric pre-rendered backgrounds
  • Atmospheric weather effects (e.g. rain and snow)
  • Cinematic full screen videos for intro and cut-scenes
  • 25 beautifully rendered 3D characters to interact with

Too linear and sometimes illogical

Unfortunately this game is like all the new adventure games nowdays (for example Lost Horizon or Kathy Rain) way too linear. Pros: + nice graphics + lots of scenes + you cannot die + you cannot stuck Cons: - lame character animation - realy bad and boring dialogues - game is too linear - it's like a mini-series of flash games - too easy, the only difficulty comes from the illogical puzzles There are no real challenges: you got a few scenes and a couple of objects. Just try to combine the items you have with each other and with the hotspots on the scenes. Don't even try to think, most of the soultions don't make any sense. After you finished a chapter, you receive another set of scenes and items, so you can restart the mindless trying again. Just think about Thimbleweed Park, where you have 5 characters, more items than you can count and access almost all the scenes at the same time! And you can solve the puzzles in different orders, no linearity. Now that what I call a real adventure game. Tunguska is just an imitation. Developers tried to put everything into 1 game: aliens, sects, evil millionaire, crazy scientists, traitors, humor, romance, myth, KGB, CIA, russians, all the continents of the Earth. I'm surprised there are no dinosaurs in it... Buy it when it's on sale, never pay full price for this. If you want a good and classic adventure game try Thimbleweed Park or go for some old titles (DOTT, Kyrandia, Monkey Island, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Fate of Atlantis, Simon the sorcerer, etc. gog.com is full with these really great games).

I *was* getting into it until...

... my character decided not to use her homemade bugnet to get her cellphone out of the tree but instead disappeared. And when I tried again, she disappeared again. This is what is known as a "game-breaking bug" in the field. This and the moon-logic puzzles ("tape the cellphone to a cat" indeed) are what made me decide that the story really isn't all that great. There are so many other games out there. I wish I had more to say, but then I wish the game were better too.

One of the better games

I really like this game, played it twice so far. Good puzzles, great story and it was very entertaining to play it.

Extremely disappointing

The game has a good vibe and a good story. This is all however let down by the worst puzzles. You just pick everything up, try to combine them and see what happens. There are some locations especially in Cuba where more obvious solutions are available yet you are always stuck with the weirdest.. Got as far as Ireland where I gave up and resorted to reading the solution and then just gave up on the game as too stupid.

Counterintuitive puzzles.

Best example of terrible point-n-click game design: more often than not, you're not given the end-goal of the puzzles, the general direction of what you're supposed to accomplish, the ending goal. It's like, the characters "knows", but you don't until the very end. For 90% of the game you'll click on the "highlight items" button, select one item from your inventory, then move the move over the scenary trying to find the one that for some reason is the only good one for the situation. For example, you're supposed to know you need to combine a rock with a string and make it roll down a pipe to exchange items with a character 2 floors below you, or cut a cow's hair and combine it with a wooden spoon and resina collected from a tree with a brick of water to build a brush. The story isn't that good either, the gameplay is badly integrated with it and the main cast is very generic. Don't wast your time on this and play Grim Fandango and Still Life instead.
