Join Scott Whiskers on his quest to find Mr. Fumbleclaw – the future star of the legendary cat beauty contest “Ricky’s Finest”.

“Scott Whiskers in: the Search for Mr. Fumbleclaw” is a modern, funny and family-friendly point & click adventure about cats, Star Trek and life itself. Created in the spirit of the classics of the genre. Classics like Monkey Island, Broken Sword or Zak McKracken.

Visit many colorful, crazy, forbidden, dangerous, scary, and also totally boring locations.
Meet crazy characters and solve tricky puzzles.

Will you find Mr. Fumbleclaw and bring the story to a furry conclusion? It’s up to you!

A game about our four-legged furry friends

“Scott Whiskers in: the Search for Mr. Fumbleclaw” is a game about cats and lots of other furry friends.

Furry friends like Buddy, the faithful German shepherd with a rather unhealthy fixation on fine-grained cat litter.

Or furry friends like Steve, the rat. Steve is not to be trifled with – after all, he provides security at the sales stall of the dodgy yet likable crook Bob.

Or furry friends like the hamster Mr. Snuggels, who, if things go badly, could face a fate as a movie monster on the big screen.

Or furry friends like the nameless, extremely dangerous – and certainly deadly – Chihuahua that guards the Longbottom family estate. It is up to you to survive this encounter safely.

And last but not least, we have Mr. Fumbleclaw himself, the award-winning, perennial champion of the legendary feline beauty contest “Ricky’s Finest”, who has inexplicably vanished from the face of the earth. Your mission? Find the cat – save the day!

A game about people

“Scott Whiskers in: the Search for Mr. Fumbleclaw” is a game about people.

People like Mary, the lonely soul, Scott’s boss, and the caring director of the city’s animal shelter. Help Mary find love – and the bad boy of her dreams!

People like little Susie, Lord Longbottom’s daughter. Susie may be a little crazy, but she is hell-bent on making the perfect monster movie. And she is now looking for a way to turn her hamster Mr. Snuggles into a vicious movie monster! Will you help Susie fulfill her dream – or will you stand by poor Mr. Snuggles? It’s up to you!

People like chain-smoking pet groomer Ricky, host of the legendary feline beauty contest “Ricky’s Finest”. And the keeper of a hairy and immensely profitable secret.

Or people like Alfredo, inventor of a sensational vegan cheese pizza topped with ceiling mushrooms. Never heard of ceiling mushrooms? Alfredo will explain it to you!

Or people like the almost forgotten old-school movie star Vlad Popescu. Help the once so celebrated Dracula actor overcome his depression and make his return to the big screen.

You see – there is a lot to do!

A game with tricky puzzles

What would a point & click adventure game be without tricky puzzles? Combine items from your inventory in the right way, unlock further paths of your entertaining journey in dialogues, and interact with numerous objects, characters, and four-legged friends.
All tasks in “Scott Whiskers in: the Search for Mr. Fumbleclaw” can be solved logically with a little puzzling – even if it doesn’t hurt to think outside the box now and then.

Great adventure except for the dialogues

"Scott Whiskers" is a charming and lighthearted adventure clearly made by people who love the genre. I also really liked Scott as a protagonist and enjoyed the puzzles. So, in general terms, a pretty good game. The reason I don't give it 5 stars are the dialogues; they just go on forever and I didn't find them particularly funny or interesting, so I ended up skipping many of them. Thankfully, the game provides you with a notebook that keeps track of objectives, so you don't have to pay much attention to what the characters say. As a final note, bear in mind the game can be completed in something like 6 hours if you're good at adventure games, rather than the 12 hours claimed in the game's description.

Mixed Feelings

This is a standard point and click adventure game. It doesn’t exactly have a “story”, though. We go through a series of fetch quests and stop for too long every time there is a dialog. And I mean TOO LONG. I finished the game in 13h because I fell asleep many times during the LOOONG dialogs. It’s nothing particularly interesting, so it gets boring pretty quick. It’s not a bad game, but not a good one either for lack of an actual story. Finishing the game actually means completing the many fetch quests, while suffering through the endless dialogs. The other reviewer said he completed in 6h because he skipped the dialogs, so there you have it. I started skipping the dialogs more to the end because I couldn’t stand it anymore - and I NEVER did that in an adventure game before. Some games use filler mechanisms to make it longer, and in this one, it’s not only the endless dialogs, but some characters spoke really slow, and that’s when I started losing patience. In addition, the protagonist is constantly being emasculated, humiliated, and he acts like that’s normal. Disrespecting him is supposed to be funny. You play a harmless feminist vegetarian activist respected by no one. There is an effort to attack capitalism, and I would rather they kept politics out of video games. That’s who you play - a low life doormat wuss despised by everyone. After completing fetch quests, most people still despised him, so I didn’t feel like something was accomplished. The art and dialogs are amateurish, but I get it - it’s a low budget game, and I respect the effort put into it. That’s why I avoided skipping dialogs for as long as I did, but even I have my limits. It’s not a bad game, but I missed an engaging story, and the dialogs were pointless fillers to double the game time. It was still kind of entertaining, but I had zero rapport with the protagonist and there was no character development. If you don’t mind that, buy the game.

Wholesome but dragging dialogue

This game is a love letter to our feline friends but also a tribute to point-and-click video game history. I enjoyed it but the long dialogues felt tiresome and mostly pointless to me. We’ve had long dialogues back in the 90s, but conversation lengths in Scott Whiskers are on a whole another level, and that’s with 2024 attention spans. I would have enjoyed the game much more if dialogue had been cut by 80% or more. German screen text is sometimes missing or duplicated, which makes the game feel unfinished. The fact that every single piece of cinematics is audio-only with a black screen doesn’t exactly help against the unpolished look and feel. Honorable mentions to the excellent original soundtrack, and to the countless nods towards classic adventure games that are casually hidden throughout the game. Buy this game if you really love cats, or if you’re into point-and-click adventure game culture and history.

Stopped playing after 2 puzzles

Here is why I stopped playing 10 minutes into the game. For some reason, the player can't get out of his appartment while apparently his boss wants him at work during his day off. Puzzle 1: you can't leave the apartment because the door knob is gone. You have to search for it in the bed. Puzzle 2: now the character won't leave the appartment until he finds a bus ticket. You have to flush the toilet, which clogs itself, thus prompting a bus ticket to float up. If this is how the game is going to be, aka, just trying every stupid combination with neither any logic nor any common sense, I don't see why I, or anyone else, should waste their time. We have known since Ron Gilbert that point & Click games must have some logic to avoid the player just randomly clicking everywhere untile sthg happens. Apparently the game designers didn't get that memo from 30 years ago.
