Satellite Reign is a real-time, class-based strategy game. You control a team of four agents, each with distinct and unique abilities, collectively battling for control of a simulated, living cyberpunk city.
Customise your team with the strength to destroy your enemies head-on, or hack into their facilities to manipulate their infrastructure without them ever knowing you were even there.
Will you take down your enemies with brute-force? Covert espionage and infiltration? Or will you use propaganda to influence the citizens of the city and overthrow the controlling powers?
The world's governments are controlled by mega-corporations, democracy to the highest bidder. Society is structured for the benefit of those in power. The poor exist in the dark squalid underbelly of the city, while the wealthy swim in opulence and luxury on the upper tiers, and the vast middle-class are too comfortable with their lives of convenience to see the world for what it really is. Corporate police patrol the streets, brutally maintaining the status quo, all under the guise of keeping the people safe.
The time for change is now, as a mysterious organisation rises from the slums of the city. They'll have to bribe, steal, hack, kill and augment their way through the barriers between them and their ultimate goal...but what are they trying to achieve? To free the masses from the corporate stranglehold, or to take control for themselves? That, is up to you.

A real masterpiece, true Syndicate game! I strongly recommend it, especially with the co-op coming up (so far the game has only single player campaign).
I haven't played long, maybe 30 minutes, but that is more than enough.
Biggest complaint - YOU DON'T GET TO MAKE YOUR OWN CHARACTER!
Apparently this is just a nice to have, but in a role playing type game it is priority number 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Anyway, I won't bore you with 'this game is about blah blah blah', because getting this far you already know what type of game it is, I will go straight into the pro's and con's.
The Good:
I only paid $1.99
I might be able to get a refund
The Bad:
Everything flashes. My poor eyes!
Massive contrast. My poor eyes!
Terrible layout of the UI. My poor eyes!
Story. I have no idea why some people are shooting at me and others are not, no idea why I want to do the things I am doing in the game, why I trust the people helping me, or who the f*** I am in the world.
Combat. Tutorial step 1: Shoot some bloke for no reason. So I open fire and take 50% of his health, then duck into cover. Nice start. Then he returns fire and I stand up, taking the full burst in the face, then we both duck. Then we both stand again exchanging gunfire right into each others faces. What is the point in a cover system if combat ignores it?
Movement. Painfully slow and makes the world seem artificially large.
Environment. Lots of things to interact with, but every 30 seconds you have to interact with the same door opening mechanism, the same security system, the same ... you get the point. Too much interaction just for the sake of having an interaction.
TL/DR: No character creation kills immersion, the looks kill my eyes, and the gameplay kills my interest.
I'm a huge Cyberpunk fan and my girlfriend and I wanted to get a co-op game to play. The game play itself is great... For single player, but trying to play this online, who ever ISN'T the host teleports around with ridiculous rubberbanding issues that make the game LITERALLY unplayable. It hurts to give this game 1 star because it's so beautiful and atmospheric with some thoughtful game design choices... But the whole point I wanted to get this game was to play with others.... Which I can't. :(
As soon as you launch this game, get up, and go get yourself a drink, because not only does it take a while to load, it is also incredibly addictive. You WILL be playing this for hours on end, so maybe get a snack as well.
The tutorial isn't great, but by the end you'll have picked up the basics. You'll learn the majority of what you need to know on your feet while playing.
You'll also soon realize that the descriptions of this game as an RTS is extremely lacking. It is a character based RTS of sorts, but it's also story driven, and almost like an RPG. Unfortunately there isn't any character creation however. You pick up four characters of four different classes in early missions, and then level them up, and purchase bio-mechanical upgrades to help you progress through more of the story and missions. The MASSIVE amount of content in this game makes what is essentially one map that's been segmented into areas feel like it's an open world almost. At least it does for a while. The artwork and styling is also stellar! This is one of the best games I've ever played.
I played this game for hundreds of hours, and only made a dent in the story. Though I did restart once, when I understood more of how to play. There is so much in this game. Every section of the city has a bunch of different missions and areas to break into to retrieve different blueprints for guns or bio-mechanical body modifications. You'll also read through a bunch of different communications and descriptions of missions as you go through the game, slowly piecing together the story. There's likely a novel worth or more in this game.
I have no idea why this is not considered to be one of the best games in existence. I am shocked I never heard of it before I decided to get it. Buy it. Buy it now. Buy it for all your friends. Say goodbye to your life for a few weeks. This is your new life now.
I bear no responsibility for lost jobs or broken marriages due to your purchase of this amazing piece of artwork.
