This game is so good at making you feel uneasy and creeped out in a way that most modern games can't. There's something about the old graphics and choppy animations that really feel nostalgic and unsettling You want to keep playing to find out where the story will take you next, because you really won't know what to expect in this game.

A classic from 1998. It needs to be experianced atleast once. The replay value is low. The Art work is amazing. The voice acting is very good. Movement can be a bit quarky at times leading to fustration where you have narrow paths to navigate. The Story is very interesting. Advancing through this crazyness the way you are feed the story is like pieces of a puzzle. A lot of clues are given by interatcting with npcs. Talking is a huge part. They reveal clues and solutions to most of your problems. Sometimes you just got to explore and interact to figure out some stuff on your own without any help. Game doesn't hold your hand. Though I do admit some points I had to look online for hint. Games worth the price. If you can snag it on sale all the better.

Excellent game. Worth every cent. For those who play on windows XP, don't start the game with the default shortcut because it's being launched through some emulator (i suppose it's good for vista or windows 7). On windows XP however it produce some visual artifacts (annoying cursor trail) and the main problem is that in the laboratory you cannot complete the quest !!! (you cannot select the letters from the blackboard). Otherwise, no problems, and a game that I recommend to all those who enjoy mystery adventures and thrillers.

If you are like me, having played a whole lot of adventure games, you may forget some of the game stories, but this one, you won't forget. Sad story but sometimes strangely humorous. Puzzles are good, too. They make sense, but the cipher text part is kind of hard if you are not a native English speaker.

I've played this game multiple times and beat it, and I still enjoy it. The story is original and brilliant, and the graphics aren't bad either (for a game of the 90's). The voices weren't awful, in fact, they were bearable. That doesn't take away from it though. The atmosphere is haunting and very surreal, and it's a game I actually own on my game shelf because it is a gem.
