Description
Saints Row 2 brings true freedom to open-world gaming. Players can play as who they want, how they want, and with whomever they want in this sequel to the much acclaimed and tremendously successful Saints Row.
Set years after the original, the player finds himself in a Stilwater both familiar and strange and challenged with bringing the Saints back as the rightful kings of Stilwater and bringing vengeance to those who wronged him.

Amazing but technically flawed.
What I would want to say has mostly been said already. Grab this game, because it's an amazing classic, get the two overhaul mods (SR2 Reloaded when that comes out), and the latest version of Gentlemen of the Row. These two alone are basically required for the best vanilla experience. 4/5 because it needs mods just to work properly, and after the mods, you're not even guaranteed 100% stability, but you're way better off than without mods.

One of the best
Saints Row 2 is the game that set the series apart from GTA. Saints row proper was really just a copy paste of GTA with different characters, but in the sequel, they decided to really break the mold. Missions where you do goofy fun stuff like spraying sewage on houses to kill property values, radio shows that are obviously satire (which GTA would then copy in 4 and 5), and comical companions. It retains a lot of the gritty realism, but adds enough variety and humor to stand apart on its own. If you like open world games, you'll get a kick out of this one for sure.
