Best game ever!

Roller Coaster Tycoon was one of my favorite games in childhood, I was playing it for hours and still had fun. Always loved the idea of creating my own park, my own Disney Land. Didn't had the chance to play the second one, but when I've seen the 3rd one I was amazed! Being able to ride my own creation was the best feature they could've added, not to say about the expansion pack, Soaked! is really awesome, you can make your own pool rides. Also scenery objects, all sorts of shops, not to say about the variety of rides, even now after 10 years, didn't had the chance to use and try all it's content. This game gives me a lot of fun even now, after this time. Too bad they didn't continue and make the 4th one. I've heard there will be one, but nothing compared to the old ones. Untill we get a good theme park game we can play this. 5 out of 5!

Interesting but expensive

I got this one with a special priece offer (like half price then the normal), i own the chapeter one and two, and i can tell that if you got the previous like me, this one adds not much to the gameplay compared to the old ones. This one is a bit weird when you want to go into the economical menagement of the park, infact if you go to check how much you are earning / loosing and any statistic regarding the economy of the game it seems its not reflecting at all whats happening, and seems the game is showing a bit random numbers about that, especially when you want to monitor a specific stall or ride. To tell the truth this problem ruins quite a lot the menagement side of the game, still the game can be fun as building and developing a park. The fact its 3d compared to the isometric bitmap of the previous doesnt really help in anything, its just better looking, but bit harder maybe to build on the fly. The game has the expansions which should add more to the gameplay but imho the pools developing is a bit confusing. At the end i can recommend this game only to the ppl who dont have any other rollercoaster game, even if personally i think that the chapter 2 is probably still superior, at least due to the fact this chapter 3 seems quite inaccurate as economical menagement.

Less than the sum of parts.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is competent and playable as a first remark. But it feels a lot of the magic of the series was lost here. The 3D models are all a bit stark and lacking phrasing, of the time. Compared to previous entries, there are features missing as well, such as being able to idly monitor multiple rides. Another aspect is that it feels like guests will swarm your park no matter what; which was an important aspect of the previous games. But as a counter, peeps walk and therefore queue slower, meaning overall ride throughput is slower. There's a lot less scenery, and a lot of it feels rather on the nose as well. Also, there's a lot of annoying micromanagement introduced in scenario play, where wages and training have to be INDIVIDUALLY set. That unfortunately echoes over from and into different games, which frankly, baffles me. In short: The game is...okay. Not something I'd make a frequent mission of returning to. Pools are overpowered.

Hard to masterbait

i was chugging curdled milk and d*cking down a buttered up dinner roll while listening to africa by toto and found it difficult to play the game while doing all those things in tandem.

Perfected the franchise

RCT3 fixed so many of the issues from RCT1 and 2. While it does have sandbox mode, you don't need it because the scenarios bundled with it are, while challenging, actually quite accomplishable and varied. The game's perspective (now being in a fully 3D engine) can sometimes interfere with playing; you may need to adjust the camera options (of which there are many). The Wild and Soaked expansions have full campaigns their own, and you can use their elements in any previous park, which can make some of the money-making scenarios easier (consider it a cheat if you want to be a purist).
