Description
The Council oversees the elam families, aristocrats who are descended from the first humans in Rilfanor, and the banlits, who were originally people born without magical abilities. The Guild has never admitted banlits because of their lack of magical capacity; and they've never admitted women because they believed women were too weak-minded to control such power.

Now, many generations later, the elam magic is weakening, and latent magic talent has reappeared among the banlit population. Many of the elam are in denial, but some of them want to take the radical step of allowing banlits, including women, into the Guild.

In your quest you'll explore randomly generated dungeons, collect treasures, master magic, avoid traps, solve puzzles, and of course cleanse the dungeons of all the evil minions within. Every dungeon is unique, no two locations will ever be the same.

It's not all dungeon-crawl. Feel at home in your very own Wizard Tower where you can enhance and customize the way you play by building a thriving town, brewing your own reagents, crafting or buying your own gear, powering up your magic, and recruiting help.
  • Every minion has a unique ability with a carefully balanced interplay of strengths and weaknesses.
  • Six schools of magic each with a complete set of upgradable spells to bring doom upon your enemies.
  • Discover tons of randomized magic items, providing a nearly unlimited variety of ways to slay your foes.
  • Randomly generated environments, no two dungeons are alike.
  • Upgrade vendors around your tower and gain instant access to a bounty of new items and enchantments.
  • Enchant your items and change the very nature of the magic they harbor inside, breathing new life into your favorites so you can slay more powerful enemies.
  • Craft materials and items at your cauldron so you always have the right amount of magical essences and potions at your fingertips.

rogue misery

rogue wizards tries some cool stuff - with an interesting dungeon crawling experience and well executed graphics style, but leaves something to be desired in the gameplay. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hY4BrBTCRA Text: Rogue Wizard charms with interesting graphics, pulling you into well built dungeons that feel like you explore them, with treasure doled out and monsters slain. This translates back into the items you get. With a large variety of weapons and armour, with varied effects that combat changes remain interesting, if not particularly tactical. The item leveling mechanic also gives something interesting to you, even if it's a completely passive mechanic with zero input or influence from the player. the problems with the game do tie into that... with most things in the game giving little to no control to you outside of stats gear. The levels are linear, with the various dungeons being controlled and contained. you are not allowed to leave until you complete them or die, but as death has no apparent penalty and even less of an impact it really has no "danger' to it. Further, i feel the game is needlessly padded with grind and grime to extend playtime, without adding content. with the first boss being level 4, but being reachable at lvl 1...and dying before trying 2-3 more times until you're high even level. and the story repeats with every boss after. Various mobs and their mechanical variety is quite well implemented, it doesn't alleviate the very tedious combat. It boils into a waiting game for monsters to come to you. With potions healing to full and being more plentiful, actual danger is never really a thing and that doesn't do justice, coupled with most monsters dying in 1 hit, you dont really feel like you in combat as much as you're playing whack a mole. I didn't really enjoy my experience with the game, but its far from un-salvage and your mileage might vary as to how much you can deal with grind to experience the cool loot.

level scaling and a game-breaking bug

the game's nothing special to begin with, very mobile-friendly (not a compliment), but could be okay for a few hours of turn-based dungeon crawling and loot gathering, except enemies scale to your level, negating every sense of progression. that alone is a dealbreaker, no game ever should have it, or at least it should be optional, but on top of it, most enemies have really annoying behavior: blobs multiplicating endlessly, ice sliding you across the screen even if you're not moving, mobs throwing goo on the screen(!), covering it, and so on. and the icing on this crap cake is a bug connected to the mud on the screen: if you open the inventory while it's still on, your reward is a black screen and if you press esc, there goes your hud/ui (hotbar, health bar, everything), and most likely you'll just die as a consequence. maybe you don't find certain mechanics annoying, but avoid this lazy and broken game, even on sale or in a bundle.

A nice little game.

Quite good if you want to kick back and relax and slay some monsters. Casting spells requires components, so most of time you rely on the weapons you find or buy. On the plus side, there are literal tons of weapons and equipment in every cave and dungeon, so you can always switch to something new. Got bored with shooting enemies with a bow? Grab a chakram and go all Xena, Warrior Princess on them. Want some close combat? Pick a sword, any sword! As you use a weapon, it develops new qualities, sometimes pathetic, sometimes quite useful. Nothing like hitting a monster with a freezing/explosive blade. The plot is simple, so are the mechanics. Some enemies really are annoying, like the ones who giggle maniacally while they still your hard-earned, way cool magic pants right off you and run away still giggling. Beating those up is especially satisfying. All in all, nice for its price.

the good neverending loop quest

This game is always the same dungeon crawling. You begin to prepare in the village hub with its growing facilities. You take the portal to choose a dungeon, its difficulty, and you enter it where you will fight turn-by-turn. Yes, the mobs level with you, like excellent Book of Demons game: the difference is it's more a grind game, as you seem to never see the end of the leveling. Yes we play a "wizard", as our toon has a spellbook, more than in Diablo 1 where the warrior could learn spells, as in RW there are no classes, you choose how you build your toon by choosing the mandatory spells (6 schools of 3 spells, and you can only maximize 3 spells, so you can specialize only in one school), but the loot is more what defines you. Sure the seeming infinite scaling leveling can be despair for who wants to feel the power, but it's still very nice to play a dungeon sometimes.
