RoboCop: Rogue City

Quite fun, albeit it crashes quite often. Being a robocop does have it's perks and cons. Not able to lean, crouch etc is a clear minus. However the perks are a quite good story, with small puzzles in between with a variety of opponents. Is it worth full prize? Not really, but at a discount it's gaffs is acceptable.

Great fun , this is not a fast paced shooting game.

This is not a super-polished AAA title, but a to-the-point RoboCop fan service shooter. If you're not a fan, you'll still like the good graphices, splatter and shooting. If you're a fan, you'll get into the story more and be able to appreciate the little details a bit more.

This game has everything a fan of the original Robocop could ever want. The gunplay feels excellent and satisfying and when the theme kicks in it really elevates the experience. Getting Peter Weller for this was fantastic - his acting really shines with every line and the game wouldn't really be Robocop without his performance. The environments are beautifully detailed and capture the 80s grit of the original film. The game has nice little homages to the original without being overly filled with fan service. Occassionaly the in engine cutrcenes would stutter even on low but that was the extent of the bugs I encountered. Very excited what else this studio does from here.

Nacon seems to have a knack for capturing the feel of a universe; it was true of Terminator: Resistance and it's true of Robocop: Rogue City. I haven't completed the game yet but so far, I can't really say I could ask for anything better. That doesn't mean it's without flaws; there are some bugs, notably enemies seem to occasionally phase through the floor. The voice acting and dialogue are... good enough, but if we're all being honest Robocop wasn't exactly the height of cinema. Overall I'd say if you're a fan of the franchise it's well worth even full price, which is sadly something I don't get to say of very many newer video games.
