Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration includes the base game and Season Pass featuring all-new content. Explore Croft Manor in the new “Blood Ties” story, then defend it against a zombie invasion in “Lara’s Nightmare”. Brave the new “Extreme Survivor” difficulty. Also features an outfit and weapon inspired by Tomb Raider III, and 5 classic Lara skins. Existing DLC will challenge you to explore a new tomb that houses an ancient terror in Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, and combat waves of infected predators in Cold Darkness Awakened.
KEY FEATURES:
- Lara’s Journey – Lara uncovers an ancient mystery that places her in the cross-hairs of a ruthless organization known as Trinity. As she races to find the secret before Trinity, the trail leads to a myth about the Lost City of Kitezh. Lara knows she must reach the Lost City and its hidden secrets before Trinity. With that, she sets out for Siberia on her first Tomb Raiding expedition.
- Woman vs. Wild – In “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” Lara battles with not only enemies from around the world, but the world itself. Hunt animals to craft weapons and scavenge for rare resources in densely populated ecosystems. You’ll encounter beautifully hostile environments, full of treacherous conditions and unstable landscapes that will require Lara to push her limits to the very edge.
- Guerilla Combat - Use the environment to your advantage, scale trees and dive underwater to avoid or takedown enemies, configure Lara’s gear, weapons, and ammo to suit your play style from stealth to guns blazing, craft explosives on the fly to sow chaos, and wield Lara’s signature combat bows and climbing axe.
- Return to Tomb Raiding – Tombs are back, and they’re bigger and better than ever. In “Rise of the Tomb Raider” you’ll explore huge, awe-inspiring ancient spaces littered with deadly traps, solve dramatic environmental puzzles, and decipher ancient texts to reveal crypts as you take on a world filled with secrets to discover.
Online
features have now been moved offline for a smooth, full DRM-free experience:
- Marketplace functions including buying, opening, and selling cards are now handled offline.
- Player card inventory and credits are now stored locally instead of remote storage.
- Expeditions have been reworked with offline leaderboards and rewards.
- Croft Manor is now fully playable without needing any online connection.
Co-Op Endurance Mode is not available.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is a fantastic package that any Tomb Raider fan will adore. The main story is possibly the best that the entire series has offered yet, and the sheer amount of additional and worthwhile content both inside the main game and outside of it with Expeditions is staggering. The series' future may have been in question a few years ago, but it now finds itself standing firmly with the best that the action-adventure genre has to offer.

Fun, when it works.
I had a very good experience for the first ~7 hours of the game. After that, my fps dropped from a stable 165 to a stuttery 60, I started getting display driver crashes, sound bugs, and boss fights where the boss doesn't spawn. My setup is new and I haven't experienced anything similar with other games, so it doesn't seem like a hardware problem, and if I go back to the first few areas my fps is back to acceptable ranges, so it looks like it's just a case of lack of polish on the PC port. It sucks, because I remember loving the first game, but the last few hours of playtime have been downright unpleasant.

Great AAA game
It's a good sequel to TR2013, though it doesn't surpass it. The exploration locations are quite different, and the gameplay follows the previous title's pattern. The graphics have been improved, and the sound effects remain perfect. Fortunately, GOG is bringing back these classic titles, as video games are no longer entertainment. From now on, we'll only see political activism and ideological content embedded in games.

A great game BUT...
...if you're not an English speaker, don't buy it yet. Only the English audio is available. The same goes for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. But if you're an English speaker, it's a must-buy if you like the genre.
