Fun game
I find the game rather enjoyable. The music is nice. The gameplay is a bit on the easy side, which makes it a relaxing game to play most of the time. That said, there are some negatives. The map is the biggest problem. Large chunks are revealed with no way to tell where you have or haven't been. That leads to frustration when you're trying to figure out where to go next and since the map is no help, you're pretty much just backtracking in the hope of finding someplace you couldn't access before. This also impacts the story since you find stones that give tidbits of lore when you explore. Since the map makes it so hard to tell where you haven't yet been, it's very easy to miss parts of the story. The next biggest problem I encountered was a problem that soft locked me near the end of the game. I saved the game and exited. Came back and I'm trapped at that save point due to the crystal barrier I broke to enter respawning and not being breakable from below. So, I'm trapped in a dead end with a save point and no exit. If the game allowed multiple saves, it would just be a small annoyance, but since it doesn't, that's 9 hours of progress flushed down the toilet. The final issue is the platforms. One of the late game powers is an ability to make certain platforms solid. The targetting is fussy though, so it often targets the wrong one, making navigating sections with lots of these platforms tedious. I also find that in one particular part of the game, with the platforms right above the water, sometimes the game doesn't recognize that I made them solid and my character just falls right through. Aside from those issues listed above, I think this is a pretty good game to play when you just want to chill for a bit.
