1979 Revolution: Black Friday

I really enjoyed this. I feel like the mechanical aspects of the game are a little sparse for some people. It’s much more about the story than the gameplay I’d say. I liked that I was playing a game in a real setting. You don’t get many games that take place in the real world during a real event in history. I think it deserves and extra star too for teaching me about something that I really knew nothing about that happened in a part of the world that is not portrayed well in my country. Big thanks to the devs for that, too.

If you like Telltale's games, you'll live it! We're just throwned directly into the Iranian revolution without long introduction or getting any background information. That's fine, since the main character also did not know exactly what is going on after returning from germany. But it might become stressfull sometimes once we've to make a lot of decisions without sufficient knowledge about the involved persons or situations. So, this is History and not a tale about good or evil and your decisions influenced the destiny of the people around you. The sad thing is: I think it was planned to have a sequel, what didn't happen yet!

This game is primarily a narrative game with only a bit of simple gameplay mechanics. So, the game stands or falls on the story - and the story is good. It's a bit like 'life is strange' actually, you even get an overview of what choices you've made at the end. I really hope they'll make further episodes of this.
