The story revolves around the disappearance of the Ishapian Church's most sacred relic, the Tear of the Gods. A band of ruthless pirates - in the employ of Sidi, a shadowy, half-mad sorcerer - attempt to seize the Tear from the Ishapian treasure ship; but in the process, they sink the ship accidentally, sending the Tear to the bottom of the Bitter Sea.
Your efforts to recover the Tear inadvertently draw you and your group into a violent, three-sided battle over the relic. Your quest leads you from the dizzying heights of Krondor's Palace, through the twisting tunnels of the sewers beneath the city, and into the haunted depths of a temple dedicated to an evil as ancient as the gods themselves.
Excellent story set in Raymond E. Feist's world of Midkemia with surprising plot twists
Extremely well-designed character development system

I remember playing this game, and I sunk many hours into it.
Note, I have installed this version on Windows 10 64 Bit, and it seems to be running smoothly. I've played for about 2 hours so far, with no significant glitches.
I bought this game back in the day, having enjoyed the previous (Betrayal at Krondor). Unfortunately, this is not a sequel. It is completely different and unrelated, even if it uses some characters from the previous game and the setting. That does not mean that it is a bad game. It has a nice story that is actually more coherent than BaK. Graphics and sound are quite good for its age. Interface and combat are also good, although I prefer the BaK environment. The main problem is that it is very, very linear. You cannot explore much. Also, I remember having to grind in order to get better equipment. By grinding I mean having to enter houses again and again in order to find enemies to fight but that are not too strong (random). But only in the first chapter. The game gets better as it progresses, and I loved the ending.
So I do recommend the game, but not if you expect the sequel to Betrayal at Krondor.

I remember when I had this game on cd. I was a little kid and the game was hard to understand for me, but that only made me enjoy it even more. I stopped playing the game when new systems came out, but I finally got around to playing the game and beating it. The game is like any other rpg, you level up, find new items, and kill monsters. The creators really focused on story as you cannot free roam and keep your characters after the game. The creators also developed a great story, and created some really interesting events, or sidequests. I also noticed some minor glitches but they didn't really affect gameplay. I give this game 5 star because it was amazing for its time. If you want to buy this game, do so because 6 dollars is a really good deal for it.
If youve never read the books do it! This whole series is based on a set of books by Raymond E. Feist. I started reading him when I was like 10, Several years later they started making video games based on my favortie books! Totally worth it even though it hasnt aged well, Betrayal was great. Not to mention in the is game you get to play Jimmy the Hand a central character in the books! Totatlly great pick it up if you like an old school rpg or just want to see Midkemia in mid 1998 lol. Have fun
Amazing game, used to run perfect on any machine until gog got their grubby hands on it and released a version that barely works.
Save yourself the time and try find an old version that works better.
