Survival Horror preserved

Going off just the effort put into RE1 (2 & 3 are not released at the time of this writing). GOG has done an outstanding job offering modern touches while keeping the original intent intact. For those saddened that many changes from the REbirth Mod aren’t present, that is already been mad to be compatible and more work is sure to be done on fine tuning that for those who prefer that experience. Overall, it’s absolutely amazing that these survival horror classics can be preserved in an official format now with consumer rights on top of that. I highly recommend supporting this release so that Capcom taps into their other classics as well (Dino Crisis anyone?)

RE 1 - 3 bundle. Also works on Windows 7

Classic games. Grat that GOG did this port!! For those who wonder if the RE bundle will work on Windows 7, yes it does. The first time I started the games, there was some buggy movement in my case at first startup. The charcter was constantly moving forward while I didn't touch a key. It happened to all the games in the bundle, BUT. I exited the games, tried a second startup, and now everything was working like a charm. I don't know why this happened in the first place, but it isn't a big deal since it worked perfectly fine from the second startup. There is added controller support for every game! which I think is a must for games like RE. very nice! I use a Xbox 360 controller and for OS I use Windows 7 64-bit.

They did it!

Can't believe the time has come where we get to play the original classic RE Trilogy on PC, thanks to GOG no less. You guys are amazing, I honestly can't express how happy I am. I bought the bundle immediately once I saw the news. As for the games, well they're classics. I have yet to play the OG versions of RE2 & RE3 however I did play RE1 HD which is much more like the classics than any other RE game up to now. I enjoyed it quite a lot, I have no doubt I'll enjoy these 3 RE titles just as much if not more. Once again I have to thank GOG for acquiring the rights to this trilogy, I just hope we can get even more in the future. Silent Hill 1-3 would be an absolutely amazing follow up.
