Good Old Resident Evil!
I'm back in my youth. I'm so glad GOG bring original RE trilogy back to PC. My dreams came true.

Resident evil 2
finally! great version to play, the door skips really help . Just wish that the cutscenes were skippable too. the high res textures are amazing also. played it with a ps5 controller, works like a charm. another little pet peeve. you can only go back to the game menu with F9 i think. doesn't make much sense but i guess that was in the original pc port the case as well. all in all, great job GOG!

DRM-Free is the Sherry on top
For context, I had just cleared Leon A/Claire B on PS1 a couple days ago when they announced the release date for this one. Just like the RE1 port (which I've rated 5/5 as well), I cleared my first play on launch (Claire A on Normal) and I didn't encounter a single technical issues. These ports are amazing, I don't think I'll want to touch the original releases again. I can't live without door skipping.

Thank you GOG and Capcom!
First of all, I'm not sure if I want to convince anyone to purchase and play the original RE2, as most fans have likely already bought it or are planning to do so in the near future. New players also know that this is a survival horror game, one of the best out there, so they are bound to pick it up at some point. So I'll take this opportunity to say, once again, thank you for bringing it back to PC, completely DRM-free! I played it for a few hours and had no trouble at all running it on a modern PC with a modern operating system. I remember playing the 10-minute demo version of Resident Evil 2 all the time back in 1999. As a kid, I was always hoping to explore more content, thinking there might be some secret that would let me play without a timer or unlock the full version of the game. How naive I was. Since then, I've replayed Resident Evil 2 dozens of times. That doesn't stop me from missing my shot with the grenade launcher or getting jump-scared, like I just did when Sherry was in Irons' office, lol. I know everything there is to know about the game, yet I still have so much fun and satisfaction playing it every single time. I think as long as I'm alive, I'll replay the game at least once or twice a year. GOG has made this much easier, as I no longer need to bother with securing a shady copy or using emulation. It will be here forever in my GOG account and as an installer on my backup HDD.
