Remothered: Tormented Fathers

If you REALLY like stealth and find the plot less important, this is the game for you. And while I am not particularly that aversive to stealth, it should be in balance with the plot. And I missed that here. While the terror/horror was done well (my heart was beating so fast during some scenes, with shaky hands afterward), unfortunately the stealth during 90% of the game made the gameplay too slow and less intriguing than it could have been. I still am not sure whether I get the full story. But, I am definitely sure I wouldn't have gotten to finish the game without the walkthrough. Most of the actions you needed to do, seemed quite random and without a walkthrough I wouldn't have finished in a long time. I won't be buying the sequel.

Well. REMOTHERED is propably not for every fan of horror games out there. It has very meh story, lots of bugs (and moths), very bad optimalization and main character sucks. However, I really enjoyed overall atmosphere and haunted house gameplay.

Originally bought this on my PS4 Pro but every time I got to the Madonna and Child statue before Celeste's room, my console's fan would go nuts and would shut down or crash or something. Heard another person had the same issue, but I just had to finish it. So I bought it again on PC. Finished it in one sitting and that's kind of what makes this game great. It's fun and doesn't over stay it's welcome. Wish they'd fix the console version but it's been 6 years and I think they're still paying off Jodie Foster for using her likeness so I don't think that'll happen. Still... good enough to buy twice.

Pretty good game in the Clock Tower style of play, a little short but it holds up. Others have already done a better job than I could provide in terms of explaining the game. However, I take umbridge with those that think they're better and smarter because 'muh insane stance'. It gives me the image that you're exactly what you claim those whom would enjoy this software to be. I'm sorry, but just because people like this game doesn't mean they're somehow lesser and have no intellect, that's insane. Also, It's a damn game, who cares if there are parts that do not represent proper accuracy with their real world topics. Dev's should be free to make whatever they please in any year they wish. Let's not destroy their creative freedoms just because you disagree with the themes and the way they are implemented in their games. Thanks.

I loved the old Clock Tower games, the SNES classic, and the PS1 sequel. And you can tell the makers of Remothered do as well. This is a story that grows more and more twisted as time goes on. The gameplay is pretty easy to grasp, but the threats get a bit more clever as time goes on, leading to really well-handled increases in difficulty. But not GAME-BREAKING increases, nothing that isn't hard to quickly get the grasp of. The only nitpicks I would have are the final stretch of the game, where it becomes much less forgiving. Other than that a solid game and I look forward to seeing what the group comes up with.
