Mixed bag, but worth a try
Reigns is funny and charming at best, unfair and repetitive at worst. I like the idea a lot and there are some cool surprises here and there, but the fact that there are a bit too much trial and error needing sections can be annoying a lot. Sure, guessing is part of the "fun", but not as much as the developers probably intended so. Still, I think it can worth your pennies and time, as soon as you start to feel how to keep your stats balanced, Reigns can give you a good time.

Certainly existant.
Reigns is a deckbuilder of decisions. The problem being that there's supposedly some point to escape from this, but it will take many rote attempts to just unlock new cards, nor is there any way to say, "these cards suck, can we just leave them out?" or "I'm going to stack the deck in my favor for my next play.", even though this is a game about the regency succession. Many decisions will lead though a morass of narration cards or choices that don't matter, only to "and then" you into a circumstance that is typically more negative than when you started. Often a game over. I'm not giving this the lowest rating possible because it is a complete and competent game with something resembling charm. Unfortunately, toe deep depth is about as far as it gets around this game. Also, there's the catacombs, where it goes from a rote card flicker to a timed death march. I'd say there's a chance to get out, but realistically by the time you find the exit, you'll find yourself abdicated immediately due to the real time decay of values, instead of say, "With the reappearance of the king, the people calm from their panic.", and things snap back to a safe 50. The Catacombs they thought were such a good idea, they slapped it into the sequels, too.

I knew what I expected
...and I'm still let down. This should be a Flash ha-ha, not a "game" that costs money.

Feels the mood
This is a very fun and ineresting game. You can really feel yourself as a ruler of unworthy peasants and so you can decide the fates of them. But step carefully: each of your decisions will benefit someone or might make them your enemy. Being a king is never easy, especially when you know you have to chose between groups knowing one will hate you for it. Please don't give this game a bad rating because you can't play it on Linux. It is not the fault of the game nor the developers.
