Description
A week from a Redneck's life:

Deer Diary:

Munday: Well, we crash-landed that UFO in the desert and Bubba says he wants to go home. Heck, I don't blame him 'cause there ain't no place like Hickston. But according to my map, we're gonna have to blast our way through jack o' lope farms and a riverboat as well as a brothel (Bubba can't wait) 'fore we get home again.

Toosday: Met new folks like Daisy Mae (she's purty). Bikers, pigs, cows and jack o' lopes. I think I even saw the King at the Slurp n' Burp.

Winsday: Yeehaw! Got to joyride in a Swamp Buggy and a motorcycle that were both armed to the teeth. I hope those peoples I ran over will be alrite. I still got a darn jack 'o lope stuck in the grill though.

Thersday: New ways to destroy stuff! I found over 10 weapons like a crossbow that shoots dynamite-loaded chickens and a slingblade. Mmmm-Hmm!
Fri-day: Sure am hungry! I just need some good ol' redneck powerups like pork rinds, cow pies and some of my granpappy's moonshine!
Saterday: Boy I sure so like those toe tapping tunes by that good ol' boy Mojo Nixon.
Sunday: Heck! With all the new places we been, I sure wish my kinfolk could've come along for the ride!

Want to experience more than just a week? Then take a dip into the Redneck's world of floating whiskey and widespread pork rinds. The crazy adventure continues through Redneck Rampage, Redneck Rampage Rides Again: Arkansas and Redneck Rampage: Suckin' Grits on Route 66. Now all three games bundled together.

But wait, there's more! For those curious about the Redneck language you can download and install "Cuss Pack" add-on (follow the readme.txt file for instructions).
  • Includes Redneck Rampage, Redneck Rampage Rides Again: Arkansas and Redneck Rampage: Suckin' Grits on Route 66
  • Heal your wounds with alcohol and battle aliens redneck-style!
  • Visit famous sites like Area 51 or Route 66 and kill those damn aliens

The game's fun...for a short while.

***First off, don't bother reading "SuperKing92's" 1-star review just because the game reminds him of his brother being a redneck - for all we care.*** Now then, I've given myself a chance to play this game thanks to GOG.com, however after playing the games for a few hours...I just find the level design to be horrible, as in most levels are freaking labyrinths and the gameplay really gets repetitive. The weapons and enemies are fairly boring too - I was tired of killing the same bunch of rednecks over and over. I tried playing the sequel: Redneck Rampage Rides Again, hoping that the problems from the first game would be gone. Instead, it's the same repetitive gameplay with the same graphics. I guess for those who grew up playing these type of games, you're all better off playing BLOOD or UNREAL GOLD instead.

FPS game is as good as its Shotgun is!

When in fps game, you pick up the shotgun and fire it for the first time, that moment wil define the entire game, and in Redneck Rampage series, your double-barreled shotgun is weak and imprecise as you'll need to fire 2 to 4 buckshots to put down the most common enemy. Which means the shooting ain't great, but its cheery spirit definitely compensates a lot. Created in 1997, Redneck Rampage was made as a goof on Southern tropes by Xatrix entertainment, who were famous for making shooters with original concept and extremely complicated level designs. And you can expect both in your adventures as you play a charismatic hickbilly Leonard who is looking for his brother Bubba while the alien invasion is happening. The game has a lot of humor and light atmosphere as you explore backtiown swamps, ditch cities and farms armed with all sorts of traditional and original weapon armament, such as alien teat gun, chicken dyn-O-mite, ripsaw-blade and alien arm gun. Shooting is fun but imprecise, which can and will put your nerves to the test, when tougher and meaner, spongier enemies show up that can decimate your health in a single shot. Another bad thing about this series is that levels can get crazy complex as you're looking for hidden switches in a labyrinthine environment, but that's a part of the charm for the 90's shooters. One of the great things about RR is the amazing soundtrack with a collection of songs from the greats such as Mojo Nixon, The Beat Farmers and Reverend Horton Heat (which thanks to this game I became a great fan of these bands). Voice overs are also amazing and funny, with Leonard taking the cake as a sarcastic, foul mouthed hickbilly. Couple that with having the entire collection of Redneck Rampage games, the original game from 1997 that remains my favorite, the amazing expansion Suckin' Grits on Route 66, and it's somewhat lackluster sequel in 1998. That's a whoopin' 40 levels you have here that can easily last you for 20 hours and more!

neat game will play more later.

Had to use autohotkey to change strafeing keys from "," "." to "7" "9" to make it easier to play the game on keyboard. Also the puzzles are not obvious so just saying that you might need a guide.
