Try the earlier ones first
Hopefully you'll never play QFG5. QFG4 is spectacular. It's good for getting into it. My favorite is QFG1, and QFG2 in text parser mode. Once you've tried them, the others aren't interesting. (little note to creators, the few situations were he gets put in too dificult situations makes it seem like he should be crushed like King Grahm Cracker. Maybe a little more description.)

MMO's should follow this example.
I thoroughly enjoyed the series, for it laid the groundwork for how character and skill development SHOULD be. The only way to increase a specialty skill (i.e, lockpicking) is to USE it to pick locks -- not just because you killed the wild boar that's been getting into the farmer's pumpkins, and hit some superficial number for doing it. I hope if Sierra resurrects the series, it doesn't get the "Blizzard" treatment. (That's who holds the rights to the QFG series now. Feel free to revolt.)
