Q.U.B.E.: Director's Cut

What I remember the most from this game was it's atmosphere and how it really manages to convey a lot with a lot of black & white cubes and just a few colours inbetween, it's gorgeous! The puzzles were also cool and entertaining and I thought the story to have good personal touches and a nice end

Wish it were longer

Well the puzzles are nice, but as the story - yes there is a story - doesn't motivate you in any way, the game is not the experience it could be. It's a bit of an indie portal clone with no portal gun but two gloves to manipulate special items. The graphics are minimalistic: just colored blocks. There is no enemy, no voice making fun and it's short. So is it worth 9 Euros? It may be if you like puzzles and don't expect something else. If you are looking for a complete game experience it's not.

Q.U.B.E. is a very solid puzzle game, but aside from it’s stark design and use of cubes to make up just about everything, it really doesn’t do anything to stand out on it’s own. It’s basically a portal clone using on/off switches instead of portals without a GlaDOS or turrets to add character to the game. Is it good? Yes… but I can definitely point to better both in style and in challenge, depending on where you want that bar to slide.

Fair warning, what I am going to say here may be SPOILERy. At the end of the game you appear to be offered a choice, but that choice doesn't exist. I'm not saying Mass Effect 3 "illusion of choice". I mean you don't actually get to choose. Kinda odd, but otherwise quite interesting.
