Your father was brutally murdered before your eyes. Now you must train hard, eat chicken and punch dudes in the face to earn your place in the Punch Club ranks, and discover who ended your father's life.
Punch Club is a boxing tycoon management game with multiple branching story lines. Your goal is clear, but how you get there depends on whether you want to legitimately climb the rankings, or take the more ridiculous, shady route.
Along the way you'll want to focus your talents. Will you take the Way of the Tiger, the Way of the Turtle, or the Way of the [other one?]? Your strength, accuracy and agility all depends on whichever Way enlightens your path. Do you have stripes, or flippers?
And every decision will matter, especially in your social life. You'll be juggling friendships, love life, work, recreational time, relationships, and possible stardom, all alongside your gym time and fighting alligators. It's not all just pumping iron, you know.
Fighter management sim with RPG and tycoon elements.
Find out who killed your father, and maybe learn something about yourself along the way.
Heavily story-driven, with multiple different narrative branches and game endings to discover.
Get as deep with stats as you like, and find your own way through extensive skill trees.
Gorgeous pixel visuals with 80-90s references and nostalgia all over the place.

It's a fun toy, so long as you don't take it seriously. If you do, the relatively low quality of the gameplay (which is a mixture of resource allocation and dice rolls) will cause frustration.
The developers have managed to piece together an entertaining game without any serious bugs. It is what it claims to be. You can't go wrong with this title.
The game is really fun to play, the way you rise to the top is inspired by the Rocky series. If you loved those movies from the eighties this is a must play. The game definitely deserves a sequel, which i hope it will be made soon :).Another plus is that this game is one of a few boxing games there are on the PC, which is sad :|.So, if you're in a fighting mood this is the game for you!
I've spent some time with the game, tried different variations and I think I can review this properly.
This game brought me back to the times when I was spending evenings on Newgrounds playing those old flash games, simulators included. There were a lot of them. And this is exatcly like them. Just better, more polished, funnier and more entertaining. Warning! If you think this is a FIGHTER game, don't buy it. It's 100% management/sim. Standard stuff : maintain your character needs while trying to get some cash while developing skills and winning fights. Sounds simple - but it isn't. The game encourages three developement styles - strength, agility or stamina based. But you must maintain some balance anyway to have any chance, for example buffing yourself to the maximum in STR will give you nothing because your fighter will be exhausted and on the floor after first 3 punches. I found the STR/STA based character the best, but it's my experience. Game offers some plot, some quests, a heck ton of pop-cultural references and gags and it's pretty in it's own retro style (if you dig it). There are moments when the difficulty just goes over the roof (like finishing the rookie leauge and then going to play offs), but with a little grind later they're managable. The whole fighting thing also requires some strategy and thinking - you can unlock many skill that will help you battle different types of enemies, depending on what stats they base on. It's simple but enganging enough. It takes some time to raise your fighter well enough to kick ass, but it's worth it. Fun little game.
