One of the best immersive sim games of the last decade, well worth a playthrough

Prey isn't just the finest immersive sim I've ever encountered—it’s something else entirely. A survival horror, yes. A Lovecraftian descent into the unknowable, certainly. But above all, it’s a game that confronts you with freedom: disorienting, radical freedom. Every decision, every corner turned or tool discovered, reverberates through a world that watches you, responds to you, changes because of you. And in that delicate interplay between agency and consequence, something remarkable happens—you disappear. Hours slip by like minutes. The self dissolves. You become part of the machine, or maybe the machine becomes part of you. Either way, you emerge different. Marked.

I expected nothing and got more than suprised after getting this game as part of some subscription for free. I loved the atmosphere and the story (even as one that does not like most of the sci-fi games out there). You should really play this. 21:9 is fully supported, cutscenes are pre-rendered in 16:9. Had one bug - keep all ingame audio at 100% and only change it in Windows itself, otherwise the 3D audio breaks (at least it did so for me). 16hrs of real gameplay is very accurate for medium difficulty and some optional exploring. Loved this game and I am more than honored to have been given this one for free. It's worth the money though.
