As someone who hates horror games, I never expected to love Prey—but here I am in March 2025, still thinking about how incredible it is! Arkane Studios crafted an absolute masterpiece that blends sci-fi, immersive sim gameplay, fantastic storyline and psychological tension into an unforgettable experience. Prey feels just as fresh, if not better, than many modern games. The level design of Talos I is pure perfection—every corridor, secret passage, and hidden story makes you feel like you're truly exploring a living, breathing space station. The gameplay depth is astonishing, with so many ways to approach combat, stealth, and problem-solving. Whether you're upgrading your abilities to become a super-powered engineer or using the GLOO Cannon in creative ways, there's always something new to discover. And let’s talk about the story—it's brilliantly written, filled with twists, moral dilemmas, and world-building that completely pulls you in. Despite its eerie atmosphere, Prey isn’t just a horror game—it’s an adventure, an intellectual challenge, and a testament to the power of player choice. It keeps you on edge without relying on cheap scares, and even someone like me, who usually avoids horror, couldn’t put it down. If you haven’t played Prey yet, do yourself a favour and dive in. It’s one of the best games ever made, and I, who have played games for over 30 years, I am adding Prey in my top 10 game of all time. Just to add, in 2025, it’s still an absolute must-play!
