Postal2 is so many things, and most likely you've heard them all: brutal, politically incorrect, sociopathic, enforcing people to go bezerk, and so on and on. But one thing that really isn't said very often is the simple fact that Postal is a nicely handcrafted game. The world is fun and free to roam, with some barriers in the beginning, but very lovely designed. You can go literally into every house and do some stuff there, most of all wont fit any purpose other than satisfying your sardistic urges, but it's there. Add the humor of Postal that even Uwe Boll couldn't complety ruin, and you're having a over the top FPS that makes Saint Row look like his little sibling.

There are two types of people in this world. Those that get the joke, and those that are the joke.

Ever had one of those days where everything goes wrong? Of course you've had, we all have. How we all deal with those days are somewhat what defines who we are as human beings. Some turns the other cheek while others snap... This game offers you just that: either to turn the other cheek or, frankly, go postal. The best part is that both are valid options and offers different kinds of playstyles, replayability is a word that comes to mind while I consider if I should stand in line and buy the milk or steal it and bring chaos to the local supermarket. The replay value is pretty damn intresting when those are your options, and that's just one of your missions during a week full of escalating "mundane" errands! Together with the expansions/DLCs Apocalypse Weekend and Paradise Lost the package that Running With Scissors offers with POSTAL 2 is nothing short of incredible and well worth the money. The only real draw back is that the game shows its age, but of course it does - it came out way back in 2003!! And yet it's still worth to pick up, especially if you've never played it. The best stress reliever ever made.

It's kind of funny to look at the Postal games and see how what was once shocking humor is now more or less par for the course. Decapitation? Sure thing! Frequent course language? Ho-hum. Urinating on everything in sight? Well, okay, that bit hasn't been imitated just yet. The game puts you in the shoes of the Postal Dude, a short-fused sociopath with a shock-jock voice. You're given a list of menial deeds by your nagging wife, and the game leaves you alone to do them more or less as you see fit. This "open-world" aspect of the game works decently, although frequent level-load triggers can annoy, and the inept AI can often be more annoying than amusing when it starts random firefights with itself for the hundredth time. While the concept behind the game is solid, the actualization is lacking and the game feels like it's in desperate need of a few more months of solid polishing. That said, it can be fun, and there's definitely worse ways to while away a rainy afternoon than throwing molotovs at elephants.
