Pizza Connection

As of right now I would recommend waiting on this title unless you own an original copy, as there isn't any manual included. This makes the game hard to play as the menus are many level deep, icons only and no in-game information on what you are expected to do.

Although my predecessor is right (there are two different versions with a different feature-set), i think it is still the best and funniest pizza tycoon sim up to now! Really great humour and for the time of release incredibly deep and well-considered game-depth. Never played the 2nd part and startet the new released part 3 a couple of days ago. But this 3rd part has a complete redesign and much of the humour is lost. Additionaly the in-game-depth is nearly completely gone, what a shame! Unfortunately i experienced a bug in mission mode where the goals are set one year in the past (ex. mission 1, title "Entry", first goal: "1-3-94 Arrival in Berlin" but the game starts in year 1995, therefore impossible to win. This is consistent for all missions). Playing on Linux. Since i was not able to find something about that by google, it could be platform-dependent. But you can fix this by yourself by editing the missiondata-files in /installation-dir/data/M with an hex-editor and change the all entries in the row saying "5E 5E 5E 5E 5E" to "5F 5F 5F 5F 5F" (5E hex = 94 decimal, 5F hex = 95 decimal) for every missiondata-file and now i enjoy a nice cup of nostalgia with this great game.

How in the world GOG fail to mention that this is a Single/Multiplayer game is beyond my comprehension - this is one of the finest Hotseat Multiplayer games available on the market and I have spent decades playing this with friends of all sort. The sequels don't have squat to do with this game; This is Pizza Tycoon (in Europe) a one-of-a-kind multiplayer Hotseat (i.e. by the same computer) strategy game, about making pizzas, smuggling weapons, drugs and getting rid of the opponents, all the while expanding your empire and coming up with new brilliant recipes for your restaurants. Worth every penny.

This game is not for everyone. Technically nothing is for everyone, but I digress. Anyway this game can be extremely difficult to get into if you don't know what you're doing, even on pushover difficulty. I highly suggest finding a manual and maybe even a new player guide online. And follow that recipe book in your Goodies/Extras. You need to have at least 3 recipes from that book on your menu before any customers will even look in the general direction of your restaurant.
