Love this game!
Weird but it kind of feels like watching a disney movie to me, so animated and full of charactor and immersion. I remember getting this game when I had one of my earliest PC's, wanting to try this game on countless friends PC's to get the best experience from it. Like spookypeanut said I could never get into Caesar III or Zeus the way I got into this!

Best city builder ever
Simply the best city builder ever made. Nothing even compares, not even the sequels. I have sunk hundreds of hours into the game. There are dozens of ways to play each game.

Greatest Empire building game All Time!
This was the game that got me into strategy games. Before, I was mostly only into shooters in the vein of Quake, Doom, Unreal etc. Then a buddy of mine gave me this and since I was always into Ancient Egypt I thought this would be the best way to get into strategy/city building games. And dammit I was right. This was the most hideously addictive game I have played before or after that lonely Summer of '99 in Melbourne Australia. No Quake or Doom ever came close to the heroine-like addiction this induced within me. I would sit down Friday evening and think to myself that I'll play this for a coupla hours, and VOILA! suddenly its SUNDAY morning! The beauty of this masterpiece is that not only is it extremely entertaining, but you also learn so much about Ancient Egypt, their culture, their food production, their primitive technology, their health and educations systems. their Gods and religions, as well as how they built those massive Pyramids and structures. All without the need for reading books or watching a documentary. And now there's a hack for playing this game at HD resolutions. So don't wait- just go. Play. Ignore only the first three Caesar games in the classic city building series and play the rest instead.

Rebuy cause its good
A Classic i brought on GOG that I still have the CD for it, I (and my brother) played it so much my poor CD eventually Died so when i saw GOG had it was a no Brainer :D For the review: Interesting City Builder endless modes can be fun you can see how you survive in a harsh place or take it easy and build how you want Or you could for a "Family" and take your line through the Coarse of a history (not sure how acurate of a history it is but still) starting out as a little farm village manager to the grand viser and eventualy becoming pharoh yourself A Few Bugs to deal with such as hunters can't find food even though the animals are right near them -.- but that is very rare to see Overall 9.5/10
