A decent point and click adventure

I remember playing parts of this when I was a teenager so I picked up the pack that had both games on sale. This game is a decent point and click adventure. There are some more "adult" themes in the game. From various slasher scenes to sex scenes it is all in there. The acting is so so but what would you expect from a mid nineties computer game. The story is odd but keeps you going. Over all I had a good time with it but I do like cheesy style horror movies to an extent. If you like that and want a taste of nostalgia, this will get you there. If you are a first timer, if you don't have high expectations and know what you are getting in to, then you will have a good time.

Cheesy but Memorable

Puzzle of flesh is a great game, if you want to have fun and lay back you will find what you wish here. But you won't find horror, it's not scary, the puzzle are easy and the story is a little convoluted, if that's fine for you, then you'll have a great time. This game such a great improvement of Phantasmagoria's Engine, the "Full FMV" UI is more fluid and believable. the acting and effects are much better too. However, the plot became much more convoluted and strange, the game leads you to expect a Murder mystery and ends up with a rushed sci-fi twist. In the end, you will enjoy Puzzle of Flesh for its funny character, way more developed than it's predecessor, great environment, and nice pacing, I just wish the last act was as memorable as Adrienne's confrontation with a Demon.

A Trip Best Experienced with Friends

If, like me, you love to watch old horror movies, particularly with friends, this title definitely has something to offer. A legitimately interesting story that has dark turns that will surprise and shock you. Characters that'll make you groan, make you laugh, and make you sympathetic. And, most importantly, a level of campiness that keeps some of the frustration from running clicking on everything more tolerable. Of course the campiness is looking from a modern perspective, but I think it's an enjoyable part of the experience.

Odd Game. Very odd.

I love Sierra - and so when they announced Phantasmagoria II back in the day (and I loved the first one!) - I couldn't wait! I thought it'd pick up from the first (either follow the character[s] or the house further) - but... no. It deals with Curtis. A guy stuck in a dead end job. Unhappy. But then there's sex scenes... with glimpses of nudity... and then... there's Hell. Wait. What? The game takes some VERY strange turns and I feel like, you need to be on a mind altering drug at times, to follow or even hope to understand what's happening. I am giving it 3 stars, just because it is a Sierra game; but honestly, had it been another company, this would probably be a 2 star at most.
