Curtis Craig is a quiet young man. He has a steady job working for the WynTech Industries corporation. He has a lovely girlfriend, Jocilyn. He's been out of the mental hospital for exactly one year. All Curtis wants is to live a normal, happy life, but something seems to have other plans... Strange events, inexplicable and terrifying, begin to happen all around him. Curtis begins to doubt his own sanity, and the very fabric of reality.
Then... The murders begin...
A psychological horror story from the blackest depths of the human soul
A compelling story with interesting characters
An intense atmosphere not meant for the faint of heart
I remember when this game came out, how excited I was to play it... then I played it.
In my opinion it's not worth the $5.99 price tag unless you *have* to complete that Sierra game catalog.
This is a game so bad it's actually funny, but that doesn't redeem it in my opinion.
Pass on this game an get the original instead.
To play this game, you have to look through it with a lens of the era. Although it is clunky, this standalone sequel has a UI better than Phantasmagoria 1. While billed as a horror game, I'd more categorize it as an erotic thriller with sci-fi. Any seasoned adventure game player could finish it in a few hours.
There is an abundance of unnecessary FMVs (opening a drawer, walking to a door) that repeat, but I'm sure were impressive at the time. Most importantly, for a point-and-click adventure - THERE IS ONLY ONE
OBTUSE / DIFFICULT PUZZLE and it is at the end of the game.
Although the story doesn't really hold up by today's standards, I enjoyed talking with the people in the office and exploring the (limited) world. The developers flushed it out where they could and they succeeded in some ways.
Check it out for the novelty, laugh at/with the characters and always say 'hi' to Blob.
I liked this game a lot. As a young kid I could ever play this game or the first one they were too scary for me. This game has some of they most boring encounters ever and the lack of objectives or any real direction will through gamers off. But all those problems aside I still love this game, even though the story line goes right in the trash at the end. Total 5 stars for me!!!!
This game is insane, stupid, nonsensical, and badly written and acted. The plot is hard to follow, and has one of the stupidest ending sequences in the history of MOST THINGS.
It's also really funny, not too hard, and features completely random scenes of S&M and an oddly touching "romance." I mean really, you could do far worse than this game--and if you're too lazy to play, look for the "Let's Play" on YouTube that inspired its new wave of "popularity." It's better than watching The Room, better than anything MST3K could dish out, better than Troll 2. It's a demented masterpiece.
I have been trying to get a copy of this game to work on my newer computers for so long and at long last you have solved my problem! Thank you so much!
