Discover the Story
Your path will lead you to the Worldwound, where the opening of a rift to the Abyss has unleashed all-consuming terror across the land. For over a century, the neighboring nations have fought fearlessly, trying to drive the enemy back — but to little avail.
Now, you have the chance to put an end to this conflict, but the path to salvation is far from clear-cut. Will you become a shining angel, backed by noble paladins? Or a powerful necromancer with hordes of immortal undead in your thrall? Or something else entirely? Lead your army and challenge mighty demon lords. Your crusade will set in motion a chain of events that will leave you — and the world itself — forever changed.
PLAY YOUR HERO, YOUR WAY
Create any character imaginable with the flexibility, richness, and depth of the Pathfinder First Edition ruleset. Choose from 25 classes, 12 character races, and more than a thousand spells, feats, and abilities to suit your personal playstyle.
FOR EVERY CHOICE, A CONSEQUENCE
Your decisions have more weight than ever before. Your goal is clear, but you must forge your own path to it. Who will die, and who will live? Who will stay, and who will go? Make your choices, and watch the world around you change.
A NEW WAY TO FIGHT
Enjoy two combat modes as you slay your enemies – real-time with pause or turn-based. Switch between them on the fly, so you can always take things as slowly — or as quickly — as you like. The unique Pathfinder ruleset also allows you to perform advanced combat maneuvers, like mounted combat. Use them wisely!
GATHER YOUR PARTY
A cast of more than 10 unique companions is ready to join your cause. Earn their trust and respect, and they will have your back no matter what dangers lie ahead. And if you get on their bad side, well… Maybe it’s time to part ways.
LEAD THE CRUSADE
You will need much more than a party of adventurers to cleanse the land of its demonic scourge. Take command of the crusaders and lead them to victory – both as a strategist, controlling the battle from above, and as a field commander, in a new tactical combat mode.
CHOOSE YOUR PATH
Explore nine unique Mythic Paths: obtain extraordinary abilities and shape everything that comes next. Your decisions might transform you into a celestial Angel, a raging Demon, a powerful Lich, a cunning Trickster, an otherworldly Aeon, a rebellious Azata, a wise Gold Dragon, an insatiable Swarm That Walks — or remain mortal and walk the arduous path toward becoming a living Legend.

Epic story, epic battles, epic roleplay, epic possibilities, epic dynamics.
In short, this game is what comes next after Throne of Bhaal. Pathfinder Kingdoms has its own flair but in terms of epic, Pathfinder 2 is the best game i had ever played.
The game got really good patched through, too. There is no downside. Well, some lags apperead through out different patch stages but seems solved up to this date.
I would have wished for more content DLC intermingle with the main story but the main story is already heavy anyway. Well, i like mega mod content so i cannot be satisified so easily.^^ But non moded this game got it the furthest.
I have about 500+ hours in this game, and it's one of the best cRPG of all time.
Still, there are two issues - bugs (some are not fixed, some are added with each new patch) and weird "core+" difficulty.
With so many hours in this game - a very rare fight could be a problem for me, still, the problem of this game design is that the game by itself is a "party buff" marathon. Every N minutes you need to rebuff your party. It will take a minute or two.
W/o buffs - your party will die in a matter of seconds. With correct buffs - you will kill bosses in a few battle rounds.
Rest? Ok, a few minutes of buffing each party member with all spells that you will need. It's becoming annoying. Some mods fix this issue, still, it's the most repetitive and annoying process in the game. And you will need to do it dozens/or hundreds of times.
Pathfinder: Wraith of the Righteous is a must-play for fans of old school cRPGs. The game offers a rich and immersive experience, with a deep and engaging story, a vast and diverse world, and a complex and rewarding combat system. The game also features a unique and innovative crusade management mode, where you can lead your army against the demonic hordes in a strategic and tactical way. The game allows you to customize your character in many ways, from choosing your class, race, skills, feats, spells, and more. The game also has a long and satisfying playtime, with plenty of content, quests, and secrets to discover. Pathfinder: Wraith of the Righteous is a masterpiece of the genre, and a game that will keep you hooked for hours.
It is an ambitious 2nd game from a relatively new company, that sometimes struggles with its lofty goals, but still manages to do an impressive amount of things right.
No other cRPG that I can think of offers so much variety or complexity when it comes to character creation. (Only NWN 2 comes close) It demands a lot of investment and navigating through seemingly endless options can indeed be intimidating for newcomers to the genre. Even for seasoned players it can get tedious and exhausting at times but once you wrap your head around it, it is also immensely rewarding. I think the game would greatly benefit from some more user-friendly features in that aspect but all in all, it is my main reason to return to it over and over again.
There's only 3 years between the release of Kingmaker, first of the series, and this one. I think it's a short time for a game of its scope and as a result, it was pretty buggy on its release but since then Owlcat did a pretty decent job ironing most of them out. Now it plays quite smoothly and in my last couple playthroughs I've hardly encountered any memorable bugs, and certainly no game-breaking ones.
When it comes to writing, well... I would say that both the story and the dialogues have improved since Kingmaker, but it's not on par with classics like Planescape: Torment, NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer, KoTOR 2; or the newer titles like Pillars of Eternity and Disco Elysium. While I may not consider it a literary achievement unlike those I listed above, it certainly serves to flesh out the world, its characters and the epic feeling of the power fantasy that it is meant to be.
Audio/visual aspects of the game are very good without being revolutionary, but the soundtrack is fantastic! I'm not a fan of dungeon crawling DLCs with a minimal amount of story and impact on the main game, but for combat enthusiasts is works just fine.
To be given a fair chance is the least it deserves and it made me look forward to Owlcat's next titles
