Rough initial release but still fun
The Game really did need a few more weeks or a month to iron out the bugs and balance issues but with some patches and community feedback the game is now becoming a solid crpg. Bear in mind this is a hard core crpg that is much more complex and in depth than some of the competition. So only buy if you are really into crpg's as this game is difficult and requires a lot of thinking. That in mind once you start learning all the mechanics the game is extremly fun with numerous ways to tackle a scenario. No joke you can be a crazy killing machine back stabbing, killing potential companions and enemies without a second thought. Or a goody goody to shoes standard hero always doing the right thing (obviously I'm bias towards evil decisions lol). It really feels like your playing a video game version of a pen and paper rpg with the developers being the game master. Being a faithfull imagining of the pathfinder universe and all of its mechanics and rules. Graphics and sound are spot on with ever new location being visually pleasing and souding great. Story was hit or miss as some characters like the dwarf harim and elf tristen are uninteresting through most of the story only becoming interesting during certain parts of the main campaign. Which does hurt the story if you are not attached to the characters as the game is extremly long easily 100 hours without any dlc. Luckily most characters are somewhat likable. My personal favorits being Jaethal, Amir, and the gnome (really tempting to kill the gnome by won't spoil why). Last the quests are numerous and mostly interesting some are bog standard while some are more interesting with time being a critical component as the order you do certain quests and when you complete them have a drastic impact on the story. Especially in the long term. One thing I do have to mention is the dice rolling system can be annoying as it is based on a d20 + modifier system so there is rng and that includes chances of dialogue decisions..

Errors, Bugs, and Crashes, oh my.
That's what this game is like. I've only been playing for a couple hours and I've gotten at least 10 errors and several game crashes. From what I gather from the parts where the game plays, it's kind of boring. I don't like the chess piece moves on the map, or the storyboard cut scenes either. It slows down an already painfully slow moving game. If you have played Pillars of Eternity then you know how when you enter an area there is a screen where it's just a picture with your options. The voice overs are here and there, but most of it is just this annoying, fixed screen. It's more like a board game with brief encounters that make up the only battle in the game. I don't like having to read a book while playing a game, if I was into books I'd not bother with video games. I should also mention that this game is Russian so the website is down until Putin quits invading Ukraine. I probably would not have bought it if I knew it was Russian. Don't want to support Putin's war at all.

Old school RPG
Awesome game. Needs some research/work by the player as difficulty can be unbalanced. A very good heir to the Bioware/BG series.
