[OBJ] Please, Indies, stop pushing this.
NOTE: I'm reviewing this game from an objective standpoint, hence the [OBJ] tag in the title. To me, this game just seems like another pathetic attempt to capitalize on indie gaming, and drive out big business for "good reasons". Which this apparently focuses on pushing the agenda that indie gaming and gamedev has always been the "proper" way to go, and that "big business" literally has no place in our world today, because it was never necessary. Honestly, it's ridiculous. It's like a cult at this point, and that's why I believe we're not getting ANY of the good stuff we've had in the 1990's and 2000's, such as LEGO Creator, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, and Video Game Tycoon by GameSweet. To put it simply, while I do like the gameplay changes that Parkitect provides to the table, over previous games like it so far, if I did a cost/benefit analysis on this title, the cost would beat out the benefit on all counts. I've found a SLEW of problems with the game itself. For starters, the game's performance is significantly inferior compared to those such as RCT3 and even LEGO Creator, surprisingly enough. It also does ridiciously poor on older computers on top of that. Another one is that there's a pathetic bug in the game where moving away from a ride with music would just cut it off, and this happens all the time. Outside of all that, I've found the game RIDICULOUSLY punishing. You could literally go bankrupt for some "minor" detail you've missed in a park with money, and otherwise it could just be that your expenses may just simply be too darn high, and all you can do is cut corners just to survive. I've found a lot more, but these should probably make you reconsider purchasing this piece of indie-capitalization junk. As for me personally myself, you can forget me supporting indie junk like this ever again. I MAY reinstall this in the future, surprisingly enough, but even then, I'm running it with mods to actually make this a fair and fun game for me. Goodbye. :D
