Congratulations. The October labor lottery is complete. Your name was pulled.
For immediate placement, report to the The Ministry of Admission at Grestin Border Checkpoint. An apartment will be provided for you and your family in East Grestin. Expect a Class-8 dwelling. Glory to Arstotzka.
The communist state of Arstotzka has just ended a 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia and reclaimed its rightful half of the border town, Grestin. Your job as immigration inspector is to control the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. Among the throngs of immigrants and visitors looking for work are hidden smugglers, spies, and terrorists. Using only the documents provided by travelers and the Ministry of Admission's primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems you must decide who can enter Arstotzka and who will be turned away or arrested.
Immerse yourself in a fictional world of spies, criminals, terrorists, secret societies, government agents and more.
Unique document-inspection gameplay with escalating challenges.
Decide the fate of countless hopeful immigrants while balancing your income and family needs.
A perfect blend of intuitive storyline, complex gameplay based on simplistic design and right amount of satire, fun and tragedy.
God! Why there are not more games like this

Got my wrist and finger hurt as I took my job as the immigration inspector so obsessively. A dark setting that gives you some perspective on the issue of illegal border crossing. Enjoyable nevertheless.
This game was a giant step in this day and age, most games today are so focused on wars or killings, not creative or challenging at all. But still, after playing this game for several days and becoming a genius at it, you still end up missing things and getting citations, giving you more to improve on. Your thought has to expand and your eyes with it, a deeply motivated game! The graphics aren't the prettiest but that adds to the charm, I heard one person make complaints that they cant differ between the faces or the picture, the graphics are made to where that's hardly even possible unless your eye sight is bad. I highly recommend this game if you want something new and dark. It also does a good job at recapturing a stalinist, communist-fascist country; I myself am a communist, a leninist/marxist in fact and I do not take offense to the portrayal of the country or its governments. One reason I did not give it 5 stars was, it needs more content. I played to unlock endless mode, afterwards I got bored, I could go back and unlock the other multiple endings but I don't feel motivated to.
This is an example of people WANTING to love an indie game just because it is different. Different does not equal GOOD. It just means different.
This game is different. No doubt about it. You sit and sort through passports, ID Cards, Work permits etc... ad nauseam. There is a story there... but it is a sliver of a story. Basically - try to get your family out by earning enough money. Other small plots show up, but they are basically 1 offs. A thank you for saving me is it. A good choice for a spy mission... Nothing else to look at... nothing else to do. Merely stamping passports.
Graphics are horrible. But then, the game does not need them, or pretend to have them.
The story could have saved this. If they would hold a couple of story lines through the game, it would keep you engaged. But alas, they show up, and roll out. Never following up a plot.
If you still want to try the game... please watch a review online. Any review will show you the nuts and bolts. You look, you compare, and you stamp. That is it. There is zero story. There is zero entertainment...
Yuk.
This one of the best games of this year so far.
Wrapped in a simple mechanic lies a very complex narrative, though and unforgiving choices (help others or rather yourself?) and a really well crafted graphical design.
It starts out simple and proceeds with piling on obstacle by obstacle that make your already rather miserable life a lot more miserable. And if you dare to make changes for the better, be prepared to face the often harsh consequences for yourself and your loved ones at home that you need to provide for each day.
This is an absolute must have game and already an alltime classic, at least in my world.
