Worthy sequel of a great series
Panzer Corps 2 brings the Panzer General series sequel into modern gameplay standards without sacrificing the soul of the original classic made by SSI back in the day. It uses the old proven mechanics, but adds a lot more than just new graphics. Encirclement and cutting off enemies from supply is now a more important thing than taking a turn to refuel units. Planes operate from bases within a specific range, more powerful units take more slots in the army, it is possible to capture equipment and use it to your own gains and individual commander traits for a campaign bring the replay value up significantly. The base game offers the German campaign as did the Panzer General classic, with different starting points to choose from and multiple branching historic and fictional paths, so that another play through is an entirely different experience than the previous one. DLC already bring new fronts to the table and add tons of new content and expand on mechanics further. There are some flaws, but I consider them quite minor and irrelevant looking at the game overall. The sounds could have been better and have more "punch", the game can be quite challenging to run on absolute top settings even on really good machines (but it looks amazing even in medium or high) and in the base campaigns the objectives are very basic, mostly limited to capturing or holding objectives in specific number of turns or reaching a point by a specific time period. For military history fans there are some tiny bits of naming issues with specific units or models, but they are actively being addressed with various updates, so it is good the developer add fixes to existing content along with releasing DLC. I have now reached 400h in this game (after 2 DLC, the base game with several campaigns it was about 160) and that's all just in single player! The game also comes with an editor that allows to create missions and campaigns, but it is arguably not as easy to use as it could have been.

Impressive good game
Thank you developers for releasing this game DRM Free This is a very good game, my first game of this type. The Good: The AI does not cheat, it plays following the rules. The AI is not stupid, it is very good programmed witch makes this game really hard, but satisfying hard to play. If you are loosing, Its not the AI, its you, change your units, change tactics etc.. think realistic warfare when you play this game. Before starting a Campaign, you can change a lot of settings to make the game easier, so you can play around to learn the game. Beautiful graphics Clean effective User Interface Sound and music is very good The Bad: Nothing bad to say about this game

A must for fans of turn based ww2 games
I am a panzer corps one modder (endsieg), so you could call me a pc pro. 1.Graphics are best in the genre. Some guys claim that its harder to recognize things then in part one, but my experience is, that thats not true. (its possible to highlight airforce so you can see it better, make unit icons bigger etc.) The downside: the ue4 engine needs a modern grafic card with at least 6mb, better more ram) If you have only 4 mb gc ram then graphics are very bad at big maps like kursk. 2.This game can be very, very easy or super hard. You can configure so many things to your taste. People that claim that its too hard, dont know, that not only the difficulty setting decides how difficult it will be. The general traits alone can make it very easy (no zone of control for example makes even the highest difficulty easy), or very hard and anything between. The downside of this freedom of choice: you might need some time to find you perfect difficulty. For panzer corps one pros i recommend: Fieldmarshall, no heroes, no positiv traits, some neg. traits. If its still not hard enough for you, take the manstein, guderian options etc. Why not the even higher diff. generalissimus ? It kills the immersion, when the germans fight like the italians. 3.The only bad thing about this game is modding. The editor has no zones or pull down menu scripts, like the old editor of pc1, so you have to be a LUA programmer it you want to create big new campaigns. Clearly they did this, because they want to sell dlcs first. Later they plan to improve the editor, so non programmers can mod too. 4.The base campaign is much better then in pc1. Africa is included, you can attack the soviets over iran and caucasus for example. Or if you win moscow and stalingrad, you can fight east of moscow and achieve absolut victory in russia. Then you invade britain and the usa. At the moment i enjoy it more, then the dlcs. (i hate the allied ai in spain dlc, and 39 is too easy for me and poland is too short)

Panzer Corps 2 a true sequel to PG2
This is by far the best in the Panzer Corps series and with 2 expansions released it's only going to get better, this is quite a bit different then the original but in a good way the maps are not as expansive as the first one but is much more tactical, and every bit as fun with the new assign general's to formations which give units and edge and experience added to units and upgrading units as well this is my favorite one in the series and so worth the price of admission if your a fan of Panzer General 2 then this is a dream come true...
