At the dawn of history, Bronze Age kings built the first empires. Strategize their rise to power in a uniquely streamlined 4X. Expand your borders, build cities in tactical locations then raise armies to defend them. Each turn, you receive opportunities but must choose only one, complete the objective to earn the reward. Random victory conditions make every game different; custom victory conditions support different styles of play.

Full and excellent demo

Great game - it is like a card and tile board-game on a map. You have cities, land and unit tiles. To do stuff you use food, science and money points. Expand your empire, threaten your rivals lands and build wonders. Wonders are actually achievements such as "own 50 tiles". The introduction and story wrapping to this board game are really nice. Featuring historical figures it is a different and fun way to get a somewhat bland concept kicked off. I've played many hours, so has my 8 year old. So it is not too difficult. It's not hardcore! But you won't win if you don't think and plan.

almost the full game

The demo offers the full tutorial campaign and its single map is one of the most complex one with a large set of civilisations you may freely choose from. You can even edit the victory conditions, which is all the customisation the full game can offer, and may save as often as you like. Quite frankly: They are giving away a pretty large part of the game for free here and actually buying it afterwards seems more as a token of grattitude toward the developers. (for reviews of the game itself look there, this is just a demo meant try the gameplay for free anyway)
