At the dawn of history, Bronze Age kings built the first empires. Strategize their rise to power in a uniquely streamlined 4X. Expand your borders, build cities in tactical locations then raise armies to defend them. Each turn, you receive opportunities but must choose only one, complete the objective to earn the reward. Random victory conditions make every game different; custom victory conditions support different styles of play.

It is an easy game to play and can be quite addictive. It's like chess with a few simple mechanics dealing with food, territory, technology, money and your armies. Once you have a good amount of money and technology coming in, your armies and cities become super strong.
Underpolished: The game loves to repeat "Look upon my works, ye might, and despair!" It does not, however, provide any context. This is generally how the game operates - bits and pieces of story are scattered around, but never enough to pull a narrative together. Similarly, game mechanics (like "opportunities") don't really match what little flavor there is.
Don't play this if you're looking for story or roleplay. There's none to be had.
Poorly advertised: This game advertises itself as a 4K lite. This is a bit of an exaggeration. If you scroll up to tags and click "show more", you'll see that this is actually a board game. That's the sort of experience you're in for. More RISK, less Sis Meyer. With a ruleset and a calculator, you could print out a gameboard and play it as a physical board game.
