Oxenfree

Despite the slow pace and the interface that requires constant pressing (bad for my tendons), I liked this game a lot. Graphics are simple 2D, but well suited to the game atmosphere. It starts slowly, looking at first like teenager comedy (I almost quit after a few minutes), but after a while it gets very interesting. Some elements of the interface, of the story and of the game design in general are quite original. Audio plays a significant role in many creative ways (I won't say more to avoid spoilers). I would suggest to leave a bit more time for player choices, though. Fast-disappearing balloons are in stark contrast for the generally relaxed pace of the game.

This game is unlike any other game I've played before, and I love it. The dialogue and character development is simply the best I've ever seen in a game. The voice acting is just a-m-a-z-i-n-g, by pretty much all characters, but particularly the main character Alex (voiced by Erin Yvette). True, there are no puzzles, but it feels like one of the best adventure games I've ever played.

It was pretty fun I mean I usually play the games mostly for the story so im pretty satisfied with the experience.

Pros: nice dialogue, some player plot choice, good art Cons: boring to play, map is not clear, some characters are annoying Net: good for one playthrough skipping the collectibles, if you like dialogue focused "games"

Note: I'm rating the Steam version. I'm hoping that GOG's version is the same since I've seen many reviews with different opinions regarding other games... Pros - Definitely visually appealing with a slightly painted style - Atmospheric feeling enhanced by equally atmospheric soundtrack - Fun radio feature which you can toggle and tweak Cons - Limited exploration and VERY slow walking pace - Short amount of time to respond in a conversation in which sometimes I wouldn't get a word in because I was still trying to think of what to choose and the game would just move right along... Disclaimer: I never got around to finishing it but I'm not sure I'm that motivated to do so. It has some good features but there are some things that hold it back from being great.
