Oxenfree

This is a narrative game that deals in the teen space as many others in the genre. The voice acting is great and the overall narrative is very intriguing. The abbreviated dialogue choice boxes are also excellent in that you never select an option expecting to say one thing and end up saying something else. However, I have to admit that sometimes I found it hard to follow, especially after not playing for a while and jumping back in; so I would recommend to others to play it over a short period of time. There is a good variety of endings on offer, so your choices do have consequences.

I was pleasantly surprised when I really got into this game. The intro to it starts off slow, but after you get into the caves you start to see what the game has to offer. I enjoyed the dialogue system a lot. It was simplistic but some of the choices you make affect the game later on. The radio mechanic was cool because it wasn't just a simple tune into the correct frequency. There were some frequencies that just added to the overall mechanic. The story was fun, but it wasn't as "scary" as I thought it would try to be. ==SPOILERS== I really enjoyed the mirror mechanic. At first I didn't think much of it but once I saw myself talking to Alex through the mirror I applauded the game. It's something so small that you won't think much of it, but it just makes the game a little more personal.

I LOVED Oxenfree! It was even better than I imagined. You basically walk around the island and talk to the other characters and it felt SO good. The interaction between the characters feels really organic because you don't get forever to think about your choices, JUST LIKE IN REAL LIFE, you know? When you interrupt other characters while they talk, they actually stop and listen to what your character says. I LOVED THAT. There were, of course, conversations which were important to the plot when that wouldn't work but that's understandable. This game is about teenagers, so don't expect some life-altering wisdom from it. It is weird, awkward and it can be really cute, depending on how you want it to be. It is great if you need a break from real life but sadly, my only complaint, it is a rather short delight.

Es un walking simulator en tercera persona con un visual art precioso, te gustará si te gustó stranger things, las pelis de los 80s de terror, el suspense o juegos como firewatch, en definitiva una buena historia con una gran ambientación y banda sonora. Es cortito pero en oferta es imprescindible si te gustan estos juegos.

The game seems boring and stupid. There's a lot of immature chatter between teenagers or 20 somethings that just annoying. I quit playing the game when the other characters wanted to play truth or dare around a camp fire. I thought this was supposed to be sci-fi, cult or something with action. I think the game is just stupid, and I regret spending money on it.
