Differences from Slay the Spire
Everything in this review will assume you've played Slay the Spire since it is similar. If you haven't yet, it is a roguelike card combat game where you advance through a set of stages of increasing difficulty, adding cards and treasures to your deck along the way. 1) Disgaea-ish setting w/ plot. The story is pretty average, but you can turn it off completely if you want. 2) The enemies have less interesting gimmicks, but the cards themselves are more fun overall and easier to set up/manage even as you unlock more of them. Also though you can draw more, you only have a max hand of 5 cards no matter what. 3) Instead of playing a deck to unlock cards, you just get coins and can use a gacha to unlock from whatever set you want 4) From what I've seen so far (on 3rd deck of 5) energy source treasures & cards have been severely nerfed compared to Slay the Spire and are either one time or need to be specifically built around to be useful. 5) Easier to heal yourself in general using the formation change function Definitely easier than Slay the Spire but I like it more so far just because the decks feel more fun to use IMO.
