Description
Get in touch with your despotic side in Overlord, the twisted fantasy action adventure where you can be evil (or really evil). In the game's seriously warped fantasy world, you’ll become the Overlord and find out for yourself whether absolute power corrupts absolutely. You could be a regular Overlord who only overlords during banking hours. However, with incredible power at your disposal and a team of evil-minded impish critters, the Minions, on hand to do your bidding, how will you resist the temptation to be wonderfully despotic?

Delve deeper into the Overlord's twisted world as Overlord: Raising Hell opens up a series of hellish new levels, each a twisted, corrupted version of the five major kingdoms: Mellow Hills, Evernight, Heaven's Peak, the Golden Halls, and the Ruborian Desert. Access to each abyss is via a portal, which opens once a kingdom has been successfully conquered and the previous ruler banished to a personal hell within. However it's not just the fallen heroes that have been dragged into the abyss: the Overlord's newly loyal peasants have also been taken down into hell too. Do you have what it takes to be really, really, really evil?

Find out in this fun mixture of fantasy role-playing, action, and adventure with just a little pinch of RTS!
  • Includes both Overlord and Overlord: Raising Hell.
  • Get in the action and become the Overlord, the all powerful dark lord with a horde of minions to command and a land to conquer.
  • Conquer a twisted fantasy world and show the Seven Heroes, demonic Halflings, and Rabid Unicorns who's boss.
  • Control a horde of slavish and loyal minions as they smash, destroy, kill and steal anything for you. Your word is law.

Great game

I love this game. I like the atmosphere, the humour (if you like the art style of Fable, then you will also like this). The story is interesting has even een plot twist at the end wich I did not expect the first time when I played it. It is fun to have the minions and use them to pillage, plunder burn and murder. It is simply be refreshing to be the bad guy then otherwise always the hero. But the minions are also the drawback, the controls are not always that accurate, so that minions who are carrying important and big stuff are getting stucked behind something. You can control them manually to 'wiggle'them free, but still it is bothersome. I have the game for the xbox and for the pc, and I must say, the controls are better with the mouse and keyboard. The mouse is more precise then the analog stick on the controler when you try to move the minions manually. But thats my opinion. So my opinion is, definitely a must buy for this money.

Original and great fun

The original game wouldn't hit the 5-star rating, but the Raising Hell DLC made worth it! Pros: - funny, enjoyable story - original atmosphere (especially in the Abysses) - looks and sounds fine - cheap!! Cons: - the nerve-racking controlls! - only auto-save system - sometimes frustrating because the game doesn't help you what should do at some points - too short Overall, even though this game has some problems, I highly recommend it. Especially because the DLC. Rading the in any Abyss is great fun, the puzzles are creative, the atmosphere is totally on point. (If there would be a version just for the Abyss-parts - I'd be the happiest man ever). Get it as soon as possible!

Perfectly Edgy

I played this game as a kid, then played it again, and again, every 2 years at least I passed it, so I wen ahead and bought on Gog now. You are the overlord and you have some interesting choices in the game, be evil or good each with each own benefits, tho being evil improves your edge so *wink* *wink*. You have your own little minnions you command everywhere to destroy, save, take, kill, and they have their own cute armors, you can choose how to fight command all different minions either use them all at once and let them die and summon new or find ways to win without losing them since they will lose their armor anmd weapons and be weaker, a cool little detail, it's a very fun, iteractive, evil game, I really liked playing it.

The Thing with the Sheeps

Just bought, but played years before. I love this game, because it is nearly as unique and brilliant as Dungeon Keeper. Nearly ^^ If you like Dungeon Keeper, you will enjoy this one although.

I love this game

I bought it after release and couldnt stop playing. Its pretty unique and the dark humor is supported great by the incredible art design. It not only resembles Pikmin in some kind of way, but also games like legend of zelda - in the world you can pass certain points only if you got new powers that are necessary to use there. All in all it was a great experience playing through it (i actually finished it three times) and the first one is a lot better than the second one, which is also good, but incredibly linear. Highly recommended, worth the money!
