Welcome home, pardner! We've been waiting for you here in the town of Sanctuary. Take your boots off and sit a spell. Ex-Marshal James Anderson lived a quiet life with his wife and daughter. One black day that life was shattered by a fancy-dressed, greed driven land baron intent on plowing down his farm to make way for the railroad. Now Anderson's driven by revenge, which he'll exact in a spray of gunfire.
Get ready for the good, the bad, and the even worse. As Marshall James Anderson, you'll face a horde of ornery, gun-slinging outlaws. You'll shoot your way through a twisted plot of greed and revenge. You'll arm yourself with firearms, as well as your wits. So go ahead, and make your day.
Highly stylized characters with distinct personalities and weapons.
Gameplay involving puzzle solving to tease the mind as well as the trigger finger.
Combines first-person Gun Slinging Action and Wild West Adventure in one game.

Brings back so many memories, one of the first FPS I really enjoyed. Got me hooked as a kid, great soundtrack, great atmosphere. Satisfying sound effects and weapon feedback. Definitely still worth a try if you can get over the outdated graphics.
Finally here! Been waiting for GOG to get this great title on - great first person shooter because it has such a great story, with the satisfaction that comes with a target rich environment. We still listen to the fantastic soundtrack that I ripped from the old cd's 20 years ago...
I never got to experience this game when it was released. My first IBM compatible PC had Day of the Tentacle and Fate of Atlantis included. I'm old enough to have played doom in the smallest of window, not knowing that mouse made it better. Through the years there were two Lucasarts titles that bothered me, one was Redneck Rampage... piracy showed me that it still wouldn't run and I was also missing tons of everything. GOG solved it. I am still working on that game, gladly, happily. The other was Outlaws. Good luck finding it, disc or stolen, getting it running was like cutting out your heart, all the while knowing that it still wouldn't really run and all you had done was wish for the day that you could just BUY it and PLAY it. I spent many years mourning the inabilty to play Outlaws. I saw it here, I bought it, boom, like that. Aside from the archaic key mapping issues which were part of the original, this is the real deal, 100% as intended. GOG has proven their value time and time again by tweaking obscure or older titles to run, but damn... I just finished Outlaws this morning and a part of my gaming regret can now rest. This was one of the hardest titles to get to run on modern systems, to such an extent that I never could. Not playably. What a fantastic game, what perfect music, what a flashback flashback to the spirit of an era now gone. Thank you GOG. It may sound silly, but there's a part of my heart that is fuller now that I FINALLY was able to play and enjoy this game. Now to complete Redneck Rampage...
