Outlaws + A Handful of Missions (Classic, 1997)

This is by far the best FPS i played so far.Graphics are irrelevant in this game because this game is ancient and Lucas Arts made a good job by making cartoonish like cutscenes. Puzzling levels are great,but the only real problem is that they made like 10 missions for main story. Game is great if you like old FPS stuff and cheap if you wait for discount like i did. Best 1.49 ever spent.

Loved this Game way back when. Had two copies [just in case]. It is not an easy game but it is fun. Gog did a good job making this work with Windows 10. Seeing that 3DFX logo at the start was great! Fun times. Well done GOG.

Such an underrated game! I remember when I was a kid my cousin had the demo which contained the first level and I played that for hours. Now, 20 years later I finally got to play the full game and it didn't disappoint. It really makes me want to watch a Sergio Leone move.

I've played many shooters, and Outlaws is easily the best sprite based FPS and one of the best of the genre. Include playing on the hardest difficulty and this game is a blast. The only negative is that the soundtrack has a few tracks that are bad mixed in with some awesome songs.

Refer to the other reviews to get info on the gameplay and game quality, this review is a heads up that once you buy and install the game you should make some changes to improve how it looks and feels. Before you launch the game look under 'Additonal Executables' and you will see two different config programs. Open up both and make sure to disable BOTH textue filtering options. When enabled all the textures look blurry and smeared, turning off filtering gives you those crisp pixels that look so much better. You should also be sure to fix the aspect ratio, by default it stretches the original 4:3 video to match your monitors aspect ratio and everything looks stretched and wrong. Once you've got those options set you can enjoy this charming western retro shooter!
