Outcast 1.1 has been recompiled from the original source code and improved to run smoothly on today's computers.The main improvements compared to the original version are: multithreaded voxel renderer for higher performances, software bilinear filtering on polygonal meshes, part of the HUD redesigned to match higher resolutions, new high-resolution sky paintings, new launcher, native support of xbox gamepad, user-friendly controller configuration, a lot of bugs fixed and improved stability.

As part of a covert experiment, the US military deployed a probe designed to prove the existence of a parallel universe hidden from our own. Although the probe successfully entered the alternate universe and reached a planet called Adelpha, its first crucial data transmission is mysteriously cut short.
The probe's unexpected demise triggers a disastrous chain of events resulting in the creation of a black hole, one that threatens to destroy the Earth. Unless the missing probe can somehow be found and repaired, planet Earth itself is doomed.

Former Detroit Baller POC with a positive attitude, the kind of basketball American who gott himself out of the hood and into a productive occupation for the government (ie, "white presenting" or "acting too white" in the vernacular of Wokkenese) gets his butt shipped off to an alternate dimension. Instead of bouncing basketballs or murdering third world natives for the US gov't, we get to go on a solid adventure where virtue and finding the truth is more disturbing than reality.
EXCELLENT GAME, NON WOKE, WOULD LET MY KIDS PLAY. BUY NOW.
Wow, is this game bad. The gameplay is horrific. The camera dynamics are so awful that I couldn't tell what was going on any time I got close to a wall or rock outcropping, etc. The "puzzles" aren't very linear, which I guess is good in some respects, but it looks like the game script can get broken if you do stuff in the wrong order. The combat model is one of the worst I've ever seen.
Six bucks isn't a lot to lose. It's more the time I spent trying to see what this stupid game was about that hurt me. Save yourself some time and look at something else.

The plot of this game is hilarious. so many holes in it that I don't even know where to begin. Within the first few minutes of watching the opening movie i was laughing at all the inconsistencies of the plot. the acting was over the top as was the premise. then i got into the game and couldn't play ti anymore because of the way the character looked like he was ice skating rather than running...or was he really running around like that cause he needed to use the bathroom really bad? i shall never know. I am probably one of the very few on here to say this game is not worth 6 dollars and should probably be forgotten, as there are many other, better action titles on this site. musical score was good though.
