One of the greatest games of all time and the best $5.99 i have ever spent on a video game.

there is no bug ! in the okasankaar region you cannot simply jump onto the top platform. you have to press a key combination, (forward, jump and crouch) together. it may take you a few try's, to get it right, but it is not a bug. it was the same on the original game, and I remember it well. by modern standards, of course it will look a little pixelated or under rendered, but it still looks good overall, and is not unpleasant at all, to play for long periods. obviously I Like this game, I played it when it first came out, gave it away some years later, and have now re- purchased it, to enjoy it again. Yes, I think it is that good ! to me games, are like boxers, there are thousands out there, but only a few are memorable or should I say good enough to make the hall of fame. this game would be the first one I put in the hall of fame, it thoroughly deserves it's place there. all I would ask of anyone trying this game now, is this....... put your mindset back to 1999, before starting this game. then sit back and enjoy it, and appreciate just how good it must have been then, compared to all other games from that era.

I played this game way back when it was originally released, but although being one of the best games of it's time it seemingly got very little notice (at least from my point of view). The graphics are a bit out of date as mentioned, but the story, combat and game world are all top notch, there are a lot of hidden nuggets as well . Ex. 1 The npcs in the game gives you a general direction if your looking for someone unless the npc is close by where as they actually turn and point towards him (no minimap funny buisness with !? and so forth). 2. If you destroy a lot of vases you can get approached (if your next to his store) by a vase seller that highly appreciates all your vase destruction since it makes his sales go up.

when i picked this game out of a bargain bin 12 months after release I found it wouldn't work, after trolling the net I found out it had a fatal bug accidently burned onto every disc, a bug that made the game unplayable unless a patch was applied, I almost gave up but one I found the patch (the creator had gone defunct and the website was gone) what I found was one fo the greatest games I've ever played, sadly that fatal bug destroyed this games reputation at release but I'm so glad to see it here restored to it's glory, this game is epic and pushed many boundaries of what games could be, definitely worth the price.

I played this game a lot back in the day.. and it's still very good fun.. it just had a great sense of freedom and exploration in it, and oh look, just 10 days left of the kickstarter campaign by the original developers to make a HD reboot version!.. Go FUND!
