Time Travel is real and history is up for grabs! In this point-and-click, you play Fia Quinn, a time agent for the ChronoZen agency. Your job is to keep close watch on seven travelers who have the desire (and the bank accounts) to sightsee in the past. Some are simply curious. Others have unfinished business to resolve. And they’ve all put down a lot of money for the trip, so it’s vital that you keep them happy while ensuring they follow the rules. But what could go wrong? It's only time travel, after all.
Features:
Seven eras of history to visit! From the speakeasies of Prohibition to the gangs of the Gilded Age to the morning of September 11th.
High resolution 1920 x 1080 graphics! That's 3x higher than Unavowed.
Lots of puzzles that require temporal thinking to solve.
Death! You CAN die in this adventure game, but time travel means you can try again. And again. And again.
Musical score by Thomas Regin (composer for Unavowed and the Blackwell series)
Full voice acting! Our largest cast yet.

Just like all their other games this is another hit adventure game. You never go wrong with Wadjet Eye.
I love everything about this game, except the character art style. I think their previous titles with their high quality pixel art is superior to this new style, which took a while to get used to.
With that said, this is a very ambitious game that tackles something as tricky as time travel and does it really well. They use it in such a clever way to make fun and engaging puzzles, that reminded me at times of Day of the Tentacle.
I could find little wrong with this game, side from one or two nitpicks. Interesting story and time travel 'missions'. The voice acting is the icing on the cake. Great soundtrack, beautiful backgrounds. Character art is a bit particular, but worked well.
Interesting characters, with my favorite being Fia, the protagonist. I finished the game in a couple of days. I had I think 13 hours playtime or so.
...after all you are a time traveller and know how history is supposed to go. The archive is never wrong.
Wadjedeye made a successful transition from low res pixelart to high res.
The story is good, controls solid, the puzzles never too unfair. Everything can be found out with trying a few things.
The engine has a few technical difficulties, I managed to have dialog choices that triggered after a short cut scene displayed over the games main menu. But usually you should not have any problems.
The idea of a tutorial, the PFG and how that pistol worked was ok, storywise it made little sense. Fia had been on the job for over 10 years, and in that time never had any experience how they worked? Nah, doesn't mix. But that's just minor points, from a player perspective it was ok.
What I did miss in the storytelling, was that no one ever questioned why Imani kept ending up in dangerous situations. Sure there was that imminent thread, but what caused her to be there in the first place? In an earlier history version she wasn't, also the paintings were in different locations throughout history. It would have made more sense trying to find out what caused the change and maybe also add a little story arc why Fia ended up with that family over the years over and over again. And somehow I expected a time traveller being responsible for the hits in the 2000s, the hitmen were told who would be where and when.
Maybe a sequel is incoming? If it keeps up with the quality of this game ... more of it please!
ps: Noz better make sure that the museum is put under protection.
If you're reading this you're probably already a point and click adventure fan. If so I'd rate this as slightly weaker than Avowed but still fun. Not especially challenging - I never felt stuck and I'm not the smartest.
If you're new to Adventure games this is a nice, gentle introduction to the genre. The gameplay is unpressured and it has an interesting and well told story.
Wadjet Eye Games leave behind the supernatural and turn to science fiction in this time-travelling tale of love and loss over 200 years of New York history. The voice acting and music are excellent as always, and the art has been moved up to a stylish high definition.
The puzzles are logical but not too challenging - fans of brain teasers and convoluted fetch quests may be disappointed, but equally no one should find the game frustrating or opaque.
