In a world at war, the vast Empire of Men tries to extend its domination over the territories of the Orcs and Goblins, who are systematically persecuted, enslaved and massacred. Through this great role-playing game, lead a fearsome Orc warrior, and a Goblin master of assassination and stealth.
You have been appointed to fulfill an extremely dangerous mission, deep in enemy territory: to kill one man... the Emperor himself. Fight your way through a terribly hostile world to reach the objective of your quest. Level up, learn and develop powerful skills, and finally free your people from the yoke of the Empire!
Sadly it´s a railed game, giving no "choices matter" choices.
It seems a little sad from a western RPG view. But if this is what you are looking for, it´s a good game.
It´s beautiful, and a good story.
This isn't an action or a stealth game, but a hybrid real time strategy one where you indirectly control two characters by issuing orders. Often times, however, the AI will struggle to fulfill 'em, wasting much time executing simple chains of commands or failing completely in positioning themselves to execute an attack, so the higher the difficulty the more annoying the micromanagement required.
I also did much of the side content not because I wanted, but because I feared becoming underpowered since there's a discrete progression system. Equippable weapons and items, too. These things undermine what could otherwise have been an enjoyable challenge balanced around the full potential of the unlikely partnership of the heroes. These guys are pros on a mission to assassinate an emperor, they should've been fully featured from the start!
Whatever, I think this game is still worth playing because the challenge is interesting, and so are the characters and the story.
This game could be kinda of interesting, it was one of the forst Focus production games, and I wanted to play it from a long time but.... it presents noumerous problematics like its successors, if you already played Bound by Flame, Vampyr or CoC this game present the same problem, it's missing something... is like empty, it has an interesting plot and it make you feel angry for the lazyness of the developer not implementig the basic iA combat System. It is also dated compared to his contemporary competitors but let's focus on what I noted mostly:
First of all the Combat System.
The peculiarity of this game it's Old Style RPG combat System, if you grew up with Neverwinter Nights, BG and some old-school's JRPGs you'll find yourself at home. It is "what could be" an interesting Hybrid System that make it, actually, unplayable. In fact if you thing you'll found the same improved system of its "Games of Thrones" Spiritual Successor you'll be disappointed. The stealth gameplay as the two characters cooperativ gameplay is useless in front of what seems lile almost the most dumb IA systeam in all games contemporary to this one, with one character fighting alone while the other one stand passive and it's impossible to coordinate them.
It will make you quit so many times and you will ask yourself why you bought the game ! It's sad because the plot and the characters seems good the problem is lazyness of the developers that launched a completed bugged game !
Second One the Plot.
I found it fascinating is the only good thing in this game !
I suggest you to avoid this product if not at very low low low cost !
enjoyed playing but xbox controller doesn't work, and I got stuck about halfway thru and you can't change the difficulty setting so watched the rest on youtube
