From Cyan, the indie studio that brought you Myst, comes a new sci-fi adventure.
As you walk beside the lake on a cloudy night, a curious, organic artifact falls from the starry sky and inexplicably, without asking permission, transports you across the universe. You’ve been abducted from your cozy existence and added into an alien landscape with pieces of Earth from unexpected times and places.
The strange worlds of Obduction reveal their secrets only as you explore, discover, coax, and consider their clues. As you bask in the otherworldly beauty and explore the enigmatic landscapes, remember that the choices you make will have substantial consequences. This is your story now.
Make it home.

For me, Obduction is too disorientating. It is a well-made game, but there are too many times that a walk-through hint is required. There are so many portals and paths that unfortunately I became disorientated many times, so stopped playing the game because it wasn't a sufficiently rewarding experinence.
I haven't finished the game, but the setting is great and the puzzles are good for making me think for a bit. If it's worth your time/money is up to you.
Rand Miller has done it again.
I am very selective about games... it's not nearly as much a passion for me as it is for some people; it's just not something I've ever enjoyed. However, my wife and I totally geeked out on the Myst series back in the day, playing every entry in that series. We've played other puzzle adventures too (Longest Journey, Qi, etc) but were always waiting for the next Myst installment.
Obduction retains the sensibility of those Myst games, but takes place in a completely different and wonderfully realized set of "worlds." No need to recap the plot here. Just like the old days, you find yourself in a place and uncover the story by exploring.
So much fun!
[semi spoiler below]
My one quibble (I played this on PS4 since my computer wasn't up to snuff, so I don't know if there are any diffrences on that platform): after the endgame I wanted to explore the world in which I landed, but just when I thought Mr. Miller was about to let me do that, here came the credits. Can we get an extension pack, please? Rand? Are you listening?
Plus it's so great to see the Miller bros. reunited.
