Nuclear Throne

This is one of those games that lasts for minutes but seems to be incredibly deep. It's a great example of perfect mechanics, balancing, music and style. I've played this for hours and I still can't get enough of it. It avoids so many common tropes and shows that you don't need to follow terrible skinner-box trends to be addictive and fun.

Just wanted to address my biggest THANKS !!! to Vlambeer, thanks for having synthetised and put in one game all the things that make me love playing video games since i'm 6y old. I think Nuclear Throne is just so damn much the best action game ever. Thanks. Thanks for the magic. Thanks for the music. Thanks for making me believe again in the future of the whole video game culture. You guys truly deserve medals and i'm not kidding. I'll review it and recommend it with the greatest pleasure on my youtube channel, and even my girlfriend loves it. Keep doing magic. Thanks.

This is a great game but its not updated and fuck Rami

Do yourself a favor and get the "Nuclear Throne Together" mod by YellowAfterLife. The music is great. Each character is well-balanced and encourages different strategy. There are numerous community-made mods such "hardmode." This game is HARD, but after a couple hundred hours, I improved a lot. It would be nice to be able to play the game at 60 fps, but that's not really a problem.
