Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.
Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).
And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.
Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).
An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.
At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.
Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.
Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.
Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.
The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Release reviews are not valid
No Man's Sky is worth the purchase if you like space survival, gathering, and crafting. There is massive expoloration potential, base building, ship variety. Pre-release, Hello Games spouted massive promises. On release, the game was a shell lacking most of those promised features. Years later, Hello Games has refined No Man's Sky into the amazing game they promised. Any other publisher would have demanded additional money for the features, releasing each as DLC. Hello Games is a refreshing change providing massive updates as the core experience. Fans continue to return and play again and again because No Man's Sky is that good. Buy it now.

Unexcusable
So, the game claims to be infinite with trillions of worlds to visit, build what you want, rule settlements, run as a pirate, basically do what you want, well this game can take over your life, this is unexcusable, yet overall a brilliant and fun game. Hello Games are also pretty quick in fixing bugs in the game, but it's the community that really makes the game run along smoothly. Doing expeditions can sometimes get you stuck, but the community are there to help, and help they do. If you like sci-fi, shooter, rpg and base building games, then this has it all in one. I would highly recommend this game. Unexcusable or not, time to load back up and build my Corvette ship from Expedition 19.

No Multiplayer without DRM.
As the title says. You need to be running GOG Galaxy app to play online. Pretty terrible to advertise no DRM but then require DRM to play the game.

Maybe it gets good after 5,000 hours?
This game has the worst on boarding process I have ever seen. I think they don't want new player. After about 50 hours I have no idea why or what is the point of the story mission. The galaxy map navigation is terrible. Just trying to select which star system you can warp to is not intuitive. After 10 years you'd think they fix bugs like doors not opening, objects clipping, and boxes floating in space. The combat is really bad both on foot and ship. The ship flies like a bowl of mashpotatoes. If they revamped the shooting that would really improve the game. Where I am, just starting, picking a fight with the robots is a terrible experience. Shoot, do little damage, then run and hide as you get swarmed. I really want to like this game but after 50 hours and making about 20 bases it's meh. I'm not going to give it a one star because the exploration aspect is fun to a certain point. If all you want to do is mine resources and base build then yes this the perfect game.
