Overhyped
Very boring, repetitive and nothing like it was advertised.

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.
Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).
And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.
Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).
An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.
At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.
Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.
Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.
Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.
The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

How is this product in stores?
After playing this game for a few hours I got the feeling that selling this product in stores should be against some kind of Consumer Code or something, kind of like if you sold salt but packaged it as sugar. This game is like if you took a group of 5 undergraduate computer science students and made them make a game in six months, and then took what you got out of that and gave it to some professional contractors to add graphics and remove the bugs. The Good: A lot of great concepts. Good graphics. The Bad: Not a fun game. Terrible execution of concepts. Terrible game design. I have a lot to say, but in summary: this is a poor man's Subnautica glued to a poor man's Minecraft glued to the world's worst Space Shooter. Just buy Subnautica and/or Minecraft and/or a good Space Shooter and have a good time.

Not recommended
Gets boring after about 5 hours, and since a few updates ago it just crashes immediately.

Terrible.
MNS beyond is terrible. I play on a high end computer and the game is very badly optimized. You have pop-in all of the time, along with the occasional lag. The new vulkan graphics are horrible and not a patch on the old OpenGL. I have no idea why they have changed the graphics. Over the years this game has grown into a giant mess, bugs from day one are still present, quest still broken, input is awful and has obviously been ported over from consoles. Speaking of input, did you know the update has launched without the ability to bind your keys? The VR isn't bad but still far from good and not worth spending money on. In short the game is a massive disappointment, the screen shots and trailers tell another story, don't be deceived by them. If you come across it in a sale for £4.99 or less, it might be worth it as you might get a hour or two out of it before you give up. On the other hand you might be one of the few that enjoy the game for whatever reason, but in my opinion they blew it.
