No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

I Just Don't Get It! No fun here!

I have tried to play this game. Several times. And I keep it installed to try again at some point. But so far it is uninteresting and tedious! They make such big promises like unlimited worlds but every world seems almost the same as every other world. Different colors. Terrain rearranged. Maybe 3 or 4 creatures that all can be ridden or milked or tamed. They all react mostly the same way. And they are all built from the same limited toolbox of critter parts. The tedium begins immediately because your ship is broken and you must mine stuff to fix it. Once I got my ship I thought "OK, now it will get fun!" but...NOPE! Once I discovered other sentient creatures I thought "OK, NOW it will get fun!" but again...NOPE! I even got off the planet to a space station and got bored really quickly "talking" to a variety of beings who all seem to be humanoid in shape except for their heads! I tried to learn their language...ONE...WORD...AT...A...Time! So I asked my (adult) son to give this a try and...he doesn't get it either! The only fun we managed to have was to ride creatures around at double-speed while playing the Benny Hill music! That fun lasted just a few minutes. This "game" just seems horrible to me! Maybe I just don't get it. I welcome anyone who can show me where I am missing the point of this thing.

Good but updates always break something

Good and a very unique game overall but major updates always break some mechanics and some aspects of the game and it takes months to get most (not even all) problems fixed. Some issues never get fixed and go back years. Also, the new features always feel half baked and poorly implemented and often don't even work properly at first and require several patches. Poor UI/UX that requires mods to make the game enjoyable. After 2000 hours on Steam I got the game on GOG to avoid forced updates and that helped to some degree: I can keep playing a stable, older version and wait for the game to be fixed. But the recent issues with broken base and freighter textures, that were introduced with Beacon and somewhat (not entirely) fixed in 5.75, came back in Voyagers and are even worse so I'm about done with this game.

No Man's Sky fun relaxing game

Hopefully they can get some of the issues sorted out for the people that are having them. For me, the game runs fairly solid usually floating around 80-100 FPS with max settings and vsync turned off. I currently have an i7-4790k and a 980ti on Windows 10 with all latest updates and drives. I am not having the stuttering issues and have around 6 hours of gameplay with no crashes. The one issue I do have is the game does not like alt-tabbing out. The few times I have tried it I cannot get back to the game. Otherwise, the game runs pretty good and looks ok. If you like open world explorations with a heavy emphasis on crafting, this game is an excellent choice.

Quite dissapointing at the moment

Considering level of hype and expectations i am quite dissapointed with the game. For £40 you are getting game that getting boring after few hours (played arounnd 4, hoping it to became better). You are getting exploration game where it is nothing interesting to explore. You are getting "survival game" without possibility of building shelters and tools in priper manner. While expecting something new and fresh i got something boring and overestimated. Considering all this an awful performance on not bad hardware - i regret spending money on it. Going togive it some chance, try to explore history little deeper but don think that this will work.
